Overrated.

He was and always will be a four and 7/8. Just a small step the very elite players.

Sucks

He has terrific range at Centerfield and makes impossible plays on a regular basis. He also has a batting stance that looks really lazy, but he can hit for power and average.

Underrated player.

Makes plays look spectacular, that Andruw Jones makes look easy. Plays he has to dive for , Andruw makes standing up. Plus , he's a puss.............When Zambrano drilled him for the second time in the game ( making it clear that he wanted to fight Edmonds ) , little Jimmy put his eyes toward the ground like a punk , and took his base. Andruw would've whooped that ass !

He has settled in well in St. Louis. Pretty interesting to see that he currently has more home runs that McGwire. The Cardinals made some good moves to get them to the place that they are right now - and I think the acquisition of Edmunds is the key one to vault them into the playoffs this year.

I like Edmonds a lot. He is a great center fielder (even if he does milk his diving catches to make them look better). He has proven with the Angels and now the Cardinals that he can hit for average and power. The biggest knock against him as always been injuries. He seems to break down every season and this has cost him a lot with his teammates who think that he is a very selfish player. That may be true, but he is an exciting player for the fans.
