The Atlanta Hawks began as the Tri-Cities Blackhawks of the National Basketball League (NBL) in 1946, and joined the NBA in 1949. From there, the franchise became the Milwaukee Hawks, then the St. Louis Hawks, and finally the Atlanta Hawks in 1968. It was as the St. Louis Hawks in 1958 that the franchise won its only NBA championship. The Hawks play their home games at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA. (Add picture)

Losing Josh Childress to that Greek team really hurt them, but they still have a pretty good starting five, and have a chance to make it back to the playoffs if they're starters can all stay healthy.

this team needs better players the only thing good on this team is Josh smith. and the only thing he can do is dunk. Vince Carter can dunk and he helps the team win.

Along with the bobcats and warriors,these guys are terrible.Even retarded one year olds can beat this team.

Atlanta sucks this year. Now without Antoine Walker. Laughing stock of the NBA along w/ the Hornets, Warriors, Knicks, Bobcats(expansion, can't be blamed). They might as well forfeit the rest of the season and spare us all.

I was at a game last night... fell asleep during the 3rd quarter... these guys looked like a high school team... orlando looked just as bad... quite frankly, if you are paid to be a professional athlete, shouldn't you at least TRY to play like one? I wanna REFUND plus compensation for pain and suffering!

Did they really know what they were getting themselves into when they traded for Rider? He makes Sprewell look like the model teammate.
