Wow it really has been a long time since I visited this list. I had previously rated the Hornets a 1. Fast forward a couple years or so, and the Hornets are now one of the best teams in the league. Chris Paul should challenge for MVP again, and David West will likely be an all-star again. Chandler will rebound and block shots, and will he isn't what he used to be, Peja can still hit from downtown. Add in the defense of the newly acquired James Posey, and you have a possible championship team here.

Injuries to Mashburn and Davis have depleted them. Might contend with the 1973 Sixers for the worst season in history.

This is on scary team. As a Sixers fan, I'm glad to have seen the last of the Hornets this year. The front line is monstrous and absolutely dominates the glass - Traylor, Brown, Moiso, McGloire - these guys battle down low on every single posession. The Hornets also have two legitimate stars in Davis and Mashburn... did anyone see Mashburn's third quarter last night? It was some of the sickest shooting that I've ever seen. If Mashburn doesn't fracture his finger in game 1, I don't think the Sixers pull this series out.

Charlotte isn't a team any longer. Baron Davis is the man. Who would have thought basketball would thrive the first year they were in New Orleans?

Even though they're defunct, they're STILL the best the NBA has to offer!
