After losing Baron Davis to the Clippers, and losing Monta Ellis for at least a couple months due to poor decision making (moped accident, riding a moped is prohibited under his contract), I don't expect Golden State to do very well this year. It also doesn't help that management doesn't seem to agree with each other, as it looks like Chris Mullin is being pushed out.

I saw the Warriors beat up on the Bulls last night. The highly touted addition of Baron Davis has pulled the team together pretty nicely. He and Jason Richard meshed well together. Murphy and Dunleavy aren't superstar caliber guys but they're solid. Foyle is kind of a joke. Petrilius has some good minutes off the bench and he's a workhorse and will be a contributer. The team's not a lock for the playoffs but they could sneak in at a 7 or 8 seed.

It's hard to imagine what's less likely - the Warriors making the playoffs in the next 10 years, or the team actually generating any interest in the Bay Area. NBA basketball just isn't even on the radar here, probably because this team keeps flatlining year after year.

They had something and then lost it. Antwan Jamison and Gilbert Arenas both gone? There goes any chance they had.

This franchise is a disgrace. They have their best year in recent memory in 2002. They are a team of young studs - playing hard, getting up and down the court, and generating a little buzz in Oakland / SF. Shockingly, they are in the running for the playoffs until the last week in the season... can't wait until next year, right? So what does this organization do? The fail to resign Arenas, and dump their leading scorer, captain, and MVP for a 30 something gunner? Clearing cap space? Please... remind me not to drop $50 to see this sorry squad this year.
