Wow, the Kings are just bad right now. There's not much else to say. Kevin Martin is good, but he's not going to be the franchise player they need him to be.

This team has had some bad luck with injuries this year, but I haven't given up on them just yet. The injury bug has given Salmons the opportunity to prove he can score on just about anyone; big Brad Miller from Fort Wayne is starting to pass the ball the way he did two years ago; and defensive stalwart Ron-Ron Artest is due back from shoulder surgery within a week or so. I'd like to see this team make the playoffs.

Well, the Kings have finally done it - obtained a player as objectionable as their fans. I used to feel the same way about Sacramento as I do Detroit. Namely, the fans are garbage but you've got to like the way the team plays ball. And Rick Adelman has paid his dues in the league. He's coached a lot more winners than losers. Also, it would be nice to see Abdur-Rahim get into the playoffs some time prior to his 45th birthday. The above, however, was all before they obtained Ron "TruWarier" Artest. As far as I'm concerned they now fall into the same category as Fresno State, the Raiders and LSU.
raclos234 01/27/2006
we'll see if the artest trade works out. but this was a move the team had to make. sac is my favorite team. unfortunetely, theyre really soft. hopefully, the addition of artest will change the personality of the team and put them abck into playoff contention if not this year then next the next.
minkey 01/27/2006
I like the Artest trade for Sacramento. They have a variety of talent on the scoring end that just aren't getting them anywhere. With a defender and competitor like Artest they'll make a solid run for the playoffs.

The Kings' time for success has passed them by. Webber is gone, and the team just hasn't played on a high level since 2003. It looks like the Kings are beginning their slide back into mediocrity.
bluetarbaby 07/23/2005
Pansy ball club. Every time I watch them, I get a soft vibe. They need more meanness, and less Euro cupcakes. Maybe Garcia can help them. I thought that was a great pick. It's guys like that who in 5 years people say, jesus, why was he picked so late? Check my new weblist about greatest clutch shooters of the past 20 years , COLLEGE and PROS.
chickenlover 03/21/2005
they are the best team in the western division. they are going to win the championchip over any team.
Jar-Jar Binks 03/03/2005
This team blew its golden opportunity in the 2002 playoffs. With this group of guys and all those trades, they'll put up a good record but I don't see them making it deep into the playoffs. Same old Kings.
HoosierHaterUK Lover 02/21/2005
Hate Mike Bibby. I wish only the worst of playoff luck on him and his liar and paid under the table friend chris webber.

Solid team.
JoeSchmo 07/19/2004
A team that thinks they're better than they really are. They deserve credit for becoming a contender after many years in the league cellar, though their window may be closing shut with Divac gone and Webber hurting. Coach Rick Adelman tends to make bad decisions in games, and that has costed them in key moments. Never scoring a playoff series win vs. the Lakers has given them the label of LA's whipping-boy.
duckfan127 06/30/2004
kings suck go lakers
alphonso 06/28/2004
Gotta get rid of loser Webber
towny114 06/22/2004
The Sacramento Kings are my personal favorite team. When Webber returned he made us take a giant leap backwards. If he would have stayed out , we may have done better. Once the Kings can overcome their injuries, they will win a NBA title.
lahell84 05/30/2004
3 straight game 7 losses... enough said!
conhusk 05/03/2004
KINGS is a very good team to watch and they have been in playoffs since Webber and Divac are intown (thank god mitch richmond leave finally). but every year they lost to a team like JAZZ, LAKERS, MAVS. they just need a little defensive spice on it to WIN IT ALL.
hoop_star12 12/21/2003
The Kings are the best team in the NBA! They're a deep team and with the addition of Brad Miller it enables Divac to have more bench time. When C-Webb comes back from injury everybody better watch out!
kels114 12/15/2003
they are the best team in the NBA!
DrFeelgood03 10/21/2003
They are a really good team and fun to watch. With Brad Miller it should be better.
MBHfromla 09/27/2003
Sacramento is a pretty crappy town. I mean After all it is home to our governor Gray Davis, and the ongoing bureaucracy that has fd up our state. And then of course, you have the team which relies on foreign talent to win championships, instead of good old American bred athletes. they stink. P.S. The Coach looks like Adolf Hitler. He's also a stupid beeatch.
waltonesque 08/27/2003
Sacramento is the most exciting team in the NBA, but they really had a rough off-season. They lost Clark, Turk and Pollard, and picked up a very pricy Brad Miller, who put up good stats (not great) in the Eastern Conference (not Western). On the other hand, Webber's legal issues have cleared up in a way the Kobe can only dream about. Unfortunately, Webber is the most injury prone go-to guy in the NBA and the Kings will inevitably falter in the playoffs, but you better belief it'll be worth watching.
bballfan5 07/25/2003
Three stars for being a) one of the deepest teams in the NBA b) having strength and talent and every position c) being a contender every year and making the playoffs exciting... Two stars deducted because they just can't seem to get it done and win a championship...they choked..and to lose so poorly without webber to dallas which was without nowitski in the playoffs seems to indicate that they rely too much on webber...not what i would expect from a team regarded for having so much depth and individual talent. They need a van exel to step up and take over when things get tough...nobody stepped up...where was bibby?...turkoglu?...bobby jackson, the sixth man of the year?...peja? Peja couldn't buy a basket and bibby was nothing like the maniac against the lakers last year. They've had their chances and since LA will have Malone and Payton this year, and San Antonio will have Turkoglu and Horry(!) this year, it looks like the window of opportunity for sacramento may be shut.
Bryght 07/16/2003
The Kings of Choke! The Suckramento Queens are nothing but the Lakers' doormats! And now that the TRUE kings of the NBA (Los Angeles) have Malone and Payton...better get ready for the SWEEP of Sacramento again!
talliwacker 04/22/2003
sacramento. the only thing in sacramento is queers and steers. but hey i'll give it those mexicans they know to party and do guys.
magellan 04/22/2003
The best team in basketball, and in my opinion, the odds on favorite to win the 2003 crown. They have nine players that could start for virtually any team in the league, and have a surprisingly good defense to go with their offense. The Arco Arena is the best home court advantage in the league, and the influence of the immortal Pete Carril can be seen in their back door cuts. How can this team lose?
sackings21 04/09/2003
I love this team. They are not only the deepest team in the league by far (in sharp contrast to teams like the Lakers, 76ers, Raptors etc.) but they have style, class, sportsmanship, immense talent, a pretty game, and just as icing on the cake for us female fans; the HOTTEST guys in the NBA!
lddawg 03/10/2003
i think this team is terrible they have no skills but still win games i hope la knocks them out in da playoffs yet again
nikichawa 01/11/2003
how could you not like the Kings?
yoshislink 05/10/2002
deepest team in the NBA.
esqgon 08/27/2001
New aditions, Webber back, one more year experience for the best talent out of the far east, look out NBA!
Wiggum 06/21/2000
The Kings may not be one of the top teams in the West, but they're definitely one of the most fun to watch. Webber is an all-NBA talent, Vlade is underrated, and Jason Williams has the potential to develop into a great guard (assuming he can cut down on the unnecessarily flashy passes and stop taking idiotic 3-pointers from 10 feet behind the line). The talent is there - they just need to put it together. Remember, the Kings were one game away from eliminating the eventual NBA champion Lakers in this year's playoffs. They'll definitely be an exciting team to watch next year.
Munson 10/26/1999
They are the most exciting team in the NBA.
