 | bluetarbaby (8) 10/24/2004 | They can't even dominate the lame PAC-10. How great of a program would this be if they played Wake, Dook, Carolina, GA Tech, Maryland, and State twice a year. I think all west coast teams are overrated. This may sound silly, but I think it's a valid point- most ACC and east coast players in general come from raw hoops towns like Philly, New York, Charlotte, Chicago, Greensboro, Atlanta , and rural areas in poor places like Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina, etc. While Pac-10 players come from places like Orange County, retirement cities in AZ, Utah, Idaho, Eugene, Spokane, and places that really are the furthest thing from grimey basketball towns. Look at this way, if one these AZ supertalents was from West Charlotte, and went to Carolina or Dook, he'd probably be looking at ACC PO the Y. Why is it, all these top 5 ranked PAC-10 teams, get their breakfast fed to them through a tube by a lesser ranked ACC team? Like when #1 ranked Stanford or AZ plays GA Tech or NC or somebody, doesn't it just feel like Stanford or AZ is the underdog, even though they might be higher ranked. A few years ago in the tourney, #1 seed Stanford played #8 seed Carolina in the sweet 16 or elite 8, and if I recall correctly, Carolina embarrassed the hell out of them.
