This comes from the Book The Soloist. based on friendship that developes between a news paper reporter Steve Lopez and a homeless man named Nathaniel Ayers. Nathaniel has Schizophrenia. he is a talented cellist who once went to Julliard. the horrid sickness of his illness drove him from the college after two years. he ended up on the streets of Los Angeles and was found by Steve Lopez playing a two stringed violin. lopez wrote some articles on Nathaniel and donations of instruments came to the talented musician. Nathaniel eventually ended up in small motel room kind of apartment and still plays music.Robert Downey jr. and Jamie Foxx are both good as the main characters. shows a very sad part of how many homeless people live in L.A..there is not a real happy ending since Nathaniel still has to live with his mental illness but also see he is a very talented man.
