I love how in the beginning it doesn't feel like the follow up to Chrono Trigger, but closer to the end you feel like you've been playing the sequel all along. Intresting idea to have it played out in parallel worlds.

i really like this one. it has some good music in it. its kinda cool that you get so many characters to use. it really wasn't very hard in most parts of the game. but still this is a very good game

Fantastic game, but theres a lot more games on this list more deserving of the top spot.

I have not yet finished Chrono Cross, so this may change--but I doubt it! This game rocks. It is almost as good as Final Fantasy 7, my personal favorite Square game. I never even played Trigger, and this game rocks. Wonderful, engaging story and characters that are believable and fun. Having such a large array of characters works because they are distinct, and there are no deadwood characters. You just want to keep playing and playing...

I think most people who are serious Chrono Trigger fans might be upset with CC. However, I still think it's a good game. It's the only game I know of with 44 playable characters and over 10 endings. It doesn't really have very much to do with CT, though. You don't have that big of a world to explore, and there are only two diferent times to which you can travel. It's still fun, though. When you beat the game, you have a feature called New Game + where you can do cool things. You restart with all of your good weapons and you're as strong as you were when you beat the game the first time. You have a feature where you don't have to play as the main character, and you can make everything go really fast. New Game + and different choices in the game (which allow you to acquire different characters) give the game a ton of replay value. It's fun, but it's not that much like CT.

I know this game is not on the chart, but it should be!! This game is the sequel to Chrono Trigger of the N64. The graphics and music add to the deep story of this fantasy game.
