Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys - 1999 Early Influence category 5

I'm not sure how much influence he had on rock, and even much of his influence on country seems to be fading as of late (although you do still hear some remnants of western swing out of George Strait every now and then), but Bob Wills and his western swing is certainly deserving of being in some kind of hall of fame.
