Banger Sisters

A concept with a whole lot of potential for comedy, all but utterly wasted in this pedestrian vehicle.

Features disinterested actors, a weak script and first year film school cinematography.

susan sarandon and goldie hawn are very talented actresses but you wouldnt know it in this movie

Not the greatest movie by any means. I personally thought Goldie Hawn was totally overacting and no where near her best. Susan Sarandon couldn't even pull it off, and I think she was even trying. These two women just don't have that chemistry that is required in these types of movies. I didn't even really like the storyline that well either. Save your money and don't waste any time with this one...

Great actresses who made an interesting story really fun. I enjoyed it a lot.

Women in their fifties wearing tight clothes? Yes. Entertaining movie? No. This had to be one of the unfunniest movies I ever seen. What has Goldie Hawn done to herself. What was a great actor like Geoffrey Rush doing in this garbage. Why would anyone take advice from a trashy has been groupie still trying to be 20?

This was a fun movie - much better than others I have seen lately. Goldie did a super job!

I would give this an almost 4. this has some pretty good scenes. Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandon play middle aged woman who in their early 20s were groupies and hung around rock groups and lets just say they were "real friendly with them" thus giving them their nicknames. now aobut 25 years later one is still a free spirit taking like as it comes. and the other has married a lawyer had two girls and has completely changed. and has never told her family about her former life. Goldies character arrives in her old friends town to ask for money{she lost her job} at first they do not hit it off at all, the friend has changed too much and does not want anyone to know about her former life. Of course slowly they she changes her mind allows herself to "let herself go" and even lets her family know about her former life as a groupie.{at first she is laughed out of the dining room} but yet everything ends with a happy ending. Okay movie but not great.well acted by the leads though.

If it weren't for Goldie Hawn, I'd give "The Banger Sisters" one star. It's simply a bad movie on all levels. The plot is slow, depressing, and trite. There is a lot of sleaze and crummy behavior, and it lacks the humor that can sometimes make that combination bearable. The one high point was Goldie Hawn's performance, but that alone does not warrant seeing the movie. This one's not even worth renting.
