Hank Williams - 1987 Early Influence category 5

I suppose one could debate whether he belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame, but he was an early big recording artist, one who was popular just before rock really got started, so I guess being in under the early influence category makes sense. Williams put out a lot of great music in a very short career. It would have been interesting to see what he would have done had he lived into his 30s. He is the father of country music, but I would guess that his influence on rock is larger than one might expect.
