In the past five years we have seen the emergence of a new breed of customer value focused, cutting edge companies such as sugarcrm, and salesforce. eazybusiness seems to continue this trend, supplying a collection of valuable tools for running a business, and wrapping them in a nice package they appear to call a "webtop".Their invoices, quotations, etc. from the data in the system. If we do decide to commit to eazybusiness, that will have been a big factor. Other than the crm, I also checked out their human resources module. I haven't ever used one before, so I have nothing to really compare it to. That said, I really liked the recruitment side of things. For any positions define for your company you can decide that you have a vacancy, and publish this vacancy on your company web page. It even takes care of applicants applying online. Pretty slick! The price is not obvious on the site, but they've quoted me 30 euro/month per user, which is less than I've paid anywhere previously.I held back on a star for this for two reasons. #1 Lack of help content. The help section (when you manage to find it) is lacking in content. I found myself having to email their support team on a number of occasions when I got stuck. Fortunately they didn't seem to mind, and responses were in good time.#2 I think it has some way to go before it will reach mass domination. It is still a bit raw, and probably only suitable for early adopters - those willing to negotiate a bump or two on the road.

I’ve been involved in the business of technology for around twenty years now. My main focus has been internet technology for the past seven years. So you could say that I have just about seen it all. One of the things I’ve seen all too often is the debilitating impact of tracking customers and invoices without using a computer. Believe it or not there are still businesses that try to do this, luckily not too many. Most businesses now at least know they need computers. However, most small to medium businesses, not to mention start-up business, do not have the technical horsepower to maintain and service the machines required to run their day to day business transactions. Heaven forbid the machine should crash or die. Enter the cloud, and eazybusiness. Cloud computing takes the machine out of your office and puts it on the internet. This means that someone else takes care of backups. Someone else makes sure the system is running. Someone else handles the grunt work, leaving you focus solely on running your business.I was first told about this new service by a colleague starting an online store; I was a little apprehensive to start with, however I decided to give it a shot myself. AMAZING!!! is the word that struck my mind, I was totally taken aback with the magnificent service that eazybusiness have put together. The folks at eazybusiness have looked carefully at what businesses need to run-email, a web site, customer records, invoices, and employee management. They’ve bundled these into low-cost packages that business owners can select to match their EXACT needs. Instead of searching for an accounting system, a human resources system, an invoicing system, a way to manage your web site, and all of the other things you need and running them separately, eazybusiness gives you and your users a single sign in id, along with access to all of the resources needed to do their jobs.If this sounds like a dream come true, its not. To put the system to the test, I modelled a business that I have started to set up. I don’t have any employees (yet), and there’s no inventory. I do have customers, an email system, a web site, and a product list. Each of these is managed in a separate system in my company. I started by setting up the web site, and was amazed to find that it was easier to bring up in eazybusiness than when I originally built it. Next, I loaded the customer database. My partner is very happy to have all of this information available through the eazybusiness web portal rather than in a database on our server. Finally, I created a promotional email and sent it to a segment of customers. Each one of these tasks would previously have taken hours in the separate systems our company uses. Eazybusiness makes these services available for a very reasonable fee that gives us line item expenses rather than estimated indirect costs. What’s more they have online customer service ready to help, within a few hours of registering I was sent a mail from their friendly customer services team welcoming me and offering a helping hand. Check out eazybusiness for yourself (www.eazybusiness.com), start trading the new way.

Excellent site of a small business owner. They have a hosted version of Zimbra email, a very easy to use CRM and inventory management systems, and a good HR and Timesheet tracking system for my employees. It covers over 80% of my needs as a small business owner... all they really need to add is an accounting package so I can share my books with my accountant. Pricing is excellent as we were able to eliminate our MS Exchange server and now our employees can access the office in a secure way from home and on the road. The only area I had problems with was the web site administration tool. It takes some work to understand how the content management system works. Not sure it is as Eazy and they promote on the web site.Overall well worth testing if you are a small business owner who would like to cut your expenses and gain access to a professional set of business support tools.MR
