I love Spencer and Hawk. However I don't like Susan. She is a JAP and head strong, and acts too prissy to me. Mr. parker needs to lose her.

I absolutely love the early Robert Parker Spenser novels but cannot even finish the newer ones. What's happened? I could always count on one of the fast-paced novels to get me through an airport delay or a New Year's day blah. Hope the author can get it back. I love Spenser.

At his best, which is near the beginning of his career and in his recent books, one of the best ever. There was a period of several years where it looked like he was churning them out with a photo-copier.

I really enjoy Parker's Spenser novels. Very entertaining and a good read. Hawk, Spenser and Susan are wonderful, fleshed out characters. Eventhough I enjoyed the TV series and subsequent movies, the books add a dimension of violence and more character study.

For a whiz-bang detective story, none do it better than Robert B. Parker.

I love Robrt B. Parker. Spenser is the coolest modern PI in fiction. Parker's new Paradise novels show him to be great in the third person style as well as the first person. Great characters, wonderful dialoge, and realisticly sordid plots make Parker great!

Spenser Novels: Love that laid-back Spenser and double-cool Hawk. Parker's dialoge is perfect! As a secondary character, gay policeman Benson is one of the best in contemporary fiction. I often wonder if Susan is Parker's ideal woman, or his wife's mirror image. --No matter; these books are purely entertaining!!!!
