The Margin Scarpetta's doing autopsies on five murder victims. Not just any old run of the mill murders but murders of the diabolical kind. Victims murdered in a way similar to how children play tag, gleefully, laughingly, joyfully playing a game of 'you're it'. Cornwell's novel UNNATURAL EXPOSURE is fast paced, and in some instances hard to follow as it boils in a pot full of gore, forensic science, virtual reality, internet enticements, and a rare disease Scarpetta is exposed to during one of the autopsies. I had to read a few pages twice in order to sort out where Scarpetta was headed, but for the most part it was a good read. I'd certainly recommend it. Marvin Wiebener, author of The Margin. A tale of suspense around an accidental discovery by an aging rancher on his land in Oklahoma.

The book came in good timing...didn't have to wait long. I'm a huge Scarpetta fan and just had to get all of these books!

This was such a waste of my precious time. Badly written and boring. It had forensic details that made the book/series unique. I wouldn't ever read her books again.

Scarpetta has a killer with a deep-seated hostility that is directed at her. He has used a rare virsus to kill his victim. Has Scarpetta been infected? This is one of her fastest moving novels that Cornwell his written. At first you think it is a serial killer. Then Scarpetta with her expertise uncovers the efforts of the killer to mislead. This is one of Cornwell's "I can't put it down." By Ruth Thompson author of "The Bluegrass Dream" and "Natchez Above The River"

Cornwell again proves why she's the one to beat in this genre. As always, a fantastic book, filled with twists and turns and characters you'd love to meet. Don't miss this one-I always forget that Cornwell started the CSI /forensic science craze and then I rediscover an early work like this and remember.
