His first Star Wars trilogy is wonderful, almost on par with the movies. The latest ones aren't as good, but still are enjoyable.

Zahn isn't bad. He understands his characters deeply and it shows in their reactions and conversations. The only problem is, the magic is gone after the first reading.

Though not yet a master, like Bradbury & Tolkien before him, Zahn does a great literary service to the post-Star Wars novels.
