Mass Effect: Ascension (Drew Karpyshyn) 5

So this book I have to say has been one of the first books to grab my attention and interest so quickly. After playing Mass Effect two times over and still wanting more, these books were the great alternative to the wait for Mass Effect 2 to be released.

The writing style and attention to detail of each part of the story makes me feel like I am walking through the Citadel and every other part of the Alliance Space System. I read this one first and now I'm going back to read the first book of the series to get a little more of a back story. If you are looking for a good political/military based hard sci-fi book this would be the perfect book for you!!!

I love the Mass Effect universe. I have the game for xbox360 and I also read the Reveletion novel, which was great. I just recently bought the Ascension novel, and it is a great book. I recommend!!

The story is well thought out and compelling, but the writing occasionally distracts from the narrative; repeated ideas and hokey dialogue prevent this from being perfect but it is still worth reading.

This is a must read if you are a fan of this game or a fan of Sci-Fi. It provides insight into part of the Quarian race and gives you a very good story. It does not dirrectly link to Mass Effect but it has the same feel as the game. Five stars.*****

I LOVE MASS EFFECT!
Read the first book then played the game 3 times.
The second book doesn't mention much about the game but there are the reasons. Take in account that there are 2 endings for mass effect so the book can't go into details. I can't wait to see how this book ties into ME2. I can see some awesome tie ins. ME fans get it NOW. Those thinking about it ME read 1st book then buy the game, its great then read the 2nd book.
