How anyone can give any of McNaught's historicals a bad review is beyond me. After reading every single one I lingered on the characters for days with a goofy grin on my face. She always leaves you with a feeling of becoming part of the main characters lives. I loved, hated, cried and laughed with these characters. Even though it was written after Whitney my love I suggest you read this first especially since it happened first. Definately on my reread shelf

A BEAUTIFUL ROMANCE BETWEEN TWO LOVELY BUT HEADSTRONG CHARACTERS. THE ATTRACTION BETWEEN ROYCE AND JENNIFER WAS SO STRONG, THAT EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO HATE EACH OTHER BECAUSE OF CIRCUMSTANCES, THEY CAN'T HELP BUT BE TOGETHER. THE WRITING WAS SO RICH IT JUST SWEPT ME AWAY.

This book is absolutely amazing. Jennifer is brave, clever and not afraid to challenge her captor Royce Westmoreland, the Wolf. She has a misplaced sense of LOYALTY (which I find the best of virtues) to her family. Royce falls hard for Jennifer based on these qualities. He loves her for everything she is. This is a beautiful love story with of course "the great misunderstanding." You will laugh out loud, sigh and tear up throughout it!

I was unable to finish even half this book. Royce, the hero, manipulates Jennifer, the heroine, into becoming his mistress. The story line continues with Royce believing Jennifer has betrayed him...the hero and heroine continue to misunderstand one another. Ugh, frustrating.
