The Magic Of You (Johanna Lindsey) 5

In the fourth installment of the beloved Malory family saga, The Magic of You is the story of Amy Malory, a strong-willed beautiful lady that has reached marriageable age. And she sets her sights on a dashing , yet unsuitable straight-laced sea captain that almost had her uncle hung for piracy.
Warren Anderson is the bitter older brother of Georgie (married to once pirate James Malory). He is tormented by an unfaithful past lover and there for has shut his heart off from love and marriage. But Amy's brazen advances towards Warren has his heart doing flip flops . Can Amy stay strong and continue her high-spirited chase of the man who rejects her? Will Warrens heart soften towards the enchanting minx who stirs feelings that he never experienced.

Applause is needed for Amy's strong-willed character and her seduction techniques. She went after Warren as any Malory male would. She was confident in her self, which sadly I don't see enough in historical romances. Warren was scared to let anyone get close he was hard to get along with . Which made Amy try all the more harder to win his heart .And in the end you see two people that are the perfect match for each other. And an added bonus is that you get to revisit James and Anthony Malory the two most notorious rakes now reformed and happily married to the women they set out to seduce.

Wonderful Book I enjoyed the storyline and the hard to get Warren who finally gives in to his beautiful minx. The Magic of You is worth the time and you will laugh out loud on the antics of the `uncles'

The Magic Of You (Johanna Lindsey) 4

I have absolutely loved all the Malory novels and this one was no exception. I was enthralled by Amy's pursuit of Warren and found their story intriguing and sweet. I loved that you got to revisit James and George Malory and the continuation of their story (which I believe Gentle Rogue is the best of the Malory novels). I can only hope that Lindsey will continue the Malory storyline with the next generation Thomas, Judith and Jaqueline all grown up.

The Magic Of You (Johanna Lindsey) 4

Rating: 4
Description: As wild and reckless as the most incorrigible of her male cousins, Amy Malory has reached a marriageable age and has set her sights on a most inappropriate mate: the straight-laced American ship captain who once nearly had her Uncle James hung for piracy.
Warren Anderson is shocked by the brazen advances of his despised enemy's beautiful niece. Though determined to resist her, he burns for the enchanting British minx. And an impassioned heart implores him to surrender to a love that could stoke the smouldering fires of a family feud into a dangerous, all consuming blaze.
Review: Book 4 in the Malory family is the story of Amy Malory and Warren (Georgie's brother). After reading Georgie and James' story, I was most curious about how Warren and Amy's story would play out. The hatred towards Warren from the Malory's and Amy's boldness sounded like a good one. Though it's not as good as Gentle Rogue, it's pretty darn good. Amy set her eyes on Warren and no other. Warren sees this as a curse and tries to stay away. Until a dire situation leaves his restraint to the wind, Amy's glad of that! Even still, the story continues on, each on different continents, but still thinking of the other. Will Warren come to Amy after she decides to quit chasing him? Of course, just how, is so sweet. You'll enjoy many appearances from other Malory family members in this story!

The Magic Of You (Johanna Lindsey) 4

I was shaking my head and smiling at the unbelievable boldness of the heroine Amy and her tenacity, even though she was repeatedly rejected. It was interesting for a change to have a hero who was arrogant, cynical, brooding and hated women. This was different, a good story and very enjoyable.

Sexual language: mild. Number of sex scenes: one. Setting: 1819 London. Copyright: 1993. Genre: regency romance.

For a list of my reviews of other Johanna Lindsey books, see my 5 star review of "Gentle Rogue" posted 6/14/08.
