I am a fan of Danielle Steel from way back. I bought a Kindle a couple of months ago. Last week I found this book of hers in kindle format and knew I had to have it. The story, as always with Mrs. Steel, was excellent, did not want to put it down. But one thing kept making me a little mad, there were at least 25 or more words mis-spelled. Example, at on place it should have said "he put his arm around her"....instead it said " he put his aim around her". I know this is being picky, but after paying over $6 for it, I as highly disappointed. Again, a wonderful story, well worth the read, if you can get by with words being mis-spelled.

The Promise is a wonderful story for the hopeless romantics out there. I liken it to A Love Affair with Deborah Kerr & Carry Grant but with an intrusive overbearing controlling scheming mother, instead of a loving aunt.

This is a love story with a cruel twist of fate and how true love can conquer all. A great story...one of the lesser known Danielle Steel books since it was one of her earlier works. Great book!

I love these books and I'm always buying them. The shipping took a little long to get to me. I order a lot off line and am not use to anything taking two weeks to get to me. Other than that, I this is my favorite book I've been looking for and it was in good shape too! Would probably buy again!

I haven't gotten a chance to read this book yet, but it was as good as new as it was described.
