Loved it. A great continuation of the story. We get a lot of questions answered and then she leaves us with that many more! The story pulls us in and makes us a part of it instead of just telling us what's going on. Exciting!

I have all of the Harry Potter audio series, because I prefer to listen or watch fictional storie than to read them. Just a preference of mine. The audio series is great. I listened to them at home on my back patio and while in the car on a road trip. THEY ARE VERY DETAILED, ENGAGING AND JUST PLAIN FUN TO LISTEN TO.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite of all the HP books. Harry's third year of wizarding school begins in a climate of fear: a mass murderer is on the loose, and all signs indicate Harry is his next target. As if Harry didn't have enough to worry about, between trying to help Hagrid build a case against the execution of a hippogriff named Buckbeak, keeping his eyes peeled for the death omens that seem to be plaguing him, and defending himself from the effects of the horrible, Black Rider-esque Dementors sent to guard the school and track down the killer.

Yet Harry soon learns that he and the escaped murderer are inextricably linked. As the story builds toward their inevitable confrontation, Rowling throws in so many twists and turns that you can't be sure who's on what side, and nothing is what it appears. You won't be able to put this book down from Chapter 17 on, and as soon as you reach the end, you'll read it again.

On finishing all the Potter books, in retrospect I think this is the best, probably because it was the first one I read. I still remember reaching the end the first time through and being blown away at how intricately it was plotted! Now, of course, it's obvious that the entire story was thought out thoroughly, possibly even before pen met paper to write the first chapter of Philosopher's Stone. How J.K. Rowling ever sat on all those secrets for so many years without telling anyone is beyond me! For those like me, distraught at no more new Harry and looking for another complete fantasy world to get lost in, I'd recommend David Eddings' early books, The Belgariad and Malloreon, or The Pyn King, which is quirkier than Potter but enjoyable none the less.

Adventure, Suspense, Drama and Humour. Harry Potter always are the best picks. Looking forward to see J K Rowling with newer Detective books!

This is another good book that continues the story of Harry Potter.  In Harry's third year at Hogwarts news gets out that Sirius Black escapes Azkaban prision and that he wants to come after Harry.  This book had some good plot twists especially with Ron's pet rat Scabbers.

It was a great book. I liked the fact that it was darker than the two other books and I loved the tension that existed between Ron and Hermione. I thought that Wood's obsession with Quidditch finally reached a point that it was too much for him. I liked the plot with Sirius Black and the whole surprise at the end of the book. I completely recommend this book.

This book is the transition between children's book and not-so-children's book. The darkest of the books to this point. This is also the point where reading the book AND watching the movie is crucial. While the first two movies fairly accurately cover the important details of the first two books, the PoA is a longer book, thus more difficult to cover in a movie of a tolerable length. The book includes many a detail that is basically just glossed over in the movie, such as quiddich being a huge part of the book (Oliver Wood's rampage to win the tournament before he leaves is very entertaining) among other things.

This book is good if you allow your children to read it. Since it is in the magical world, there is a lot of occult, and may confuse younger kids into believing it. It is your personal choice whether or not you would let them read it. If you allow them to read it, explain that none of it is real.

Out of all the Harry Potter books so far, this is my favorite. First, because there wasn't any Voldemort. That was a relief. Second, we met Sirius. Third, we learned more about Snape. (He's one of my favorite Charactors.) And tons of other reasons. I absolutly love this book.

This Harry Potter book is great! I can't wait for the movie. I just want to tell anyone who thinks this book is bad because of the witchcraft aspects, for starters witchcraft is not evil. We don't worship the devil. The devil is a christian deity. How can we worship something we don't believe in. I think that everyone should learn the truth about witches, before they spoke their closed minds.

A book that can hold a child's imagination and interest and put fun back into reading for children instead of them sitting in front of the TV all day either watching some patronising TV show or playing computer games all day is worth 5 stars in my book.

by far, my favourite HP book. I read it (a chapter a day) to the children i used to watch after school and for those 15 or twenty minutes there was absolute silence. Rowling's characters and plots are excellent. I think that these books teach children about friendship and family and good. Plus, any book that inspires children to read is worth five starts!

This one is my favorite out of all of the Harry Potter 5 books so far out. Sirius excapes from jail and then comes to find Harry. Harry thinks that Sirius is after him to kill him. But later finds out that Sirius is his Godfather and is not trying to kill him, but trying to help him. Also in this book Harry, learns how to ward off dementors. I am kinda disappointed though that they killed off Sirius in the 5th book. He was one of the best characters. If one of the most important people in my life died, I would have felt the same way. I don't think that they should have killed Sirius in the 5th book. Oh well, I guess I can't do anything about it. Thank you J.K. Rowling for writing all these good books. This is my favorite out of the 5 that you have out.

My favorite Harry Potter book yet. "Sirius Black" is a good addition to the cast. Aunt Marge is a treat too. This book is more adventurous than any other Harry Potter book. J.K. Rowling continues her good use of verisimilitude and it is fun, and a pleasure to read.
