Great show back in the day when there was less competition on TV.

I recently watched this show again as it rejoined GSN's lineup (which has reverse-jumped the shark as of '08). It's a really fun and enjoyable gameshow--it has a cool synthesized theme song, a dynamic audience, a fun and pun-loving host, a neatly stylized set, and just a cool and fun concept overall. Easily better than just about every gameshow outside of Wheel, Jeopardy and Crosswords that has come out in the last ten years.

I'm not so sure this should be in the top 20. I remember the show and I liked it but it's really not all that great. Wink Martindale gets a star just for being named "Wink".

The Game show for idiots. I used to love it because I was eight years old and I could answer most of the questions!!!

One of the classic game shows on the list. One of the best.

Well, these questions sure weren't ones you'd find on Jeopardy! A question/answer type game show where you DON'T have to be a super genius to play, or enjoy watching at home--what a concept! Actually, what really separates this one from many other such shows was the host, Wink Martindale. Wink has got to be one of the 5 greatest game show hosts of all time! He was so likeable, got along great with the contestants. Anyway, there were 9 categories on a Tic Tac Toe board, contestants took turns choosing categories, get a question in that category, answer it right to win your letter (X or O) in the square, putting $200 in the bank ($300 for the middle square). Get 3 of your letter in a row going across, down, or diagonally to win all of the money earned in the round. If neither contestant got 3 in a row, a new round started, with all the money earned from the round carrying over to the next round--potential for large jackpots here! The winner went on to a bonus round where over $1000 & a bonus prize could be won by either finding hidden cash bonuses on the board totalling at least $1000 or the words TIC and TAC, while avoiding the dragon (which made a cool sound effect, by the way). Odds of winning the bonus round: pretty low. But it was still interesting to see--the dragon was scary when I was young! Anyway, Wink really makes an OK-game show concept into a great show!
