 | Indio70 (0) 05/08/2004 | Only three due to the negativity. One of the GREATEST rap groups of all-time, but ALSO part of the reason young girls are refering to themselves as B's & Ho's. When I was coming up, we could not listen to N.W.A. with our girlfriends, they just wouldn't tolerate it. I can remember the first time I heard N.W.A and thinking who's getting robbed, and this music is unrealistic, but soon after (late '89), as fate would have it, I didmove to the West Coast and witness for myself the ohh too real gang culture that produce the genre. One of my favorites back in the day, but now that I've got kids I can't see it so much anymore. I look at the state of Rap/ Black Youth/ Youth in general today and can only point to MY BOYZ as bearing some small token of responsibility. (i changed three stars to five -- i must remain objective)

 | ellajedlicka21 (5) 02/29/2004 | NWA is definitely the most incendiary rap group of all-time. They pioneered gangsta rap in the late '80s. Now that it's the 10th anniversary of the L.A. race riots, it's good to remember the senseless beating of Rodney King by the LAPD and the ensuing riots spurred by NWA's music. Classic band that captured the aura of civil unrest during that era extraordinarily effectively. F*ck the Police is a cathartic song against police brutality. Unfortunately, they are not the as good as the untouchable Fight the Power band, Public Enemy.

 | jred (0) 08/18/2003 | I was listening to a lot of hardcore punk when Staight outa Compton came out, it fit in just great, I still spin it every now and again to bring back the good times.

 | Ruby (15) 06/23/2001 | The first record, Staight Outta Compton, was pretty good but they fell off fast when Ice Cube left. Simply, Eazy-E was a big no talent and he tried to carry the load. It's like what woulda happened if Sid Vicious had kept the Sex Pistols going after Johnny rotten quit.
