Perhaps this author could've picked up examples from last summer's slim pickings on this website. . .

My brother got this for Christmas and I was Green with Envy so bought my own just now. He went through it and read it at random from place to place and had the whole family laughing aloud. My favorite was the teachers notes like My daughter was sick so I took her to a Dr to have her shot. I nearly wet myself laughing. I can't wait to read the rest of it I have a feeling it'll leave any audiance shreiking with laughter.

This book is funny. You can just pick it up, read a few lines and chuckle. You can also use this in classrooms. I was first introduced to this book in college when I was shadowing a teacher, she was using the entries from the books as examples of not paying attention. It was also the book she turned to after a grueling class on Shakespeare where the kids looked like the needed a little boost in spirits. They were laughing out the door. I bought it about 15 minutes after I left her classroom. I do not currently teach in a classroom, but I still enjoy this book a great deal.

This book made me laugh non-stop for two hours. Then it made my wife laugh for two hours, and then my Dad. All just by showing what a little malformed grammar, minor misspelling, or incorrect use of punctuation can do to a sentence. An english lesson and hysterical read all at the same time.

This book contains headlines, malapropisms, school essays, parental notes to teachers, lawyer-witness dialogues, signs and other assaults on the English language that provide hours of chuckles and retelling to those who have not read it. When you read a want ad that says: "Mixing bowl set designed to please a cook with round bottom for efficient beating," or the headline "Stiff Opposition Expected to Casketless Funeral Plan," you have to laugh. It also reminds me of what a boss once told me: You can always deny what you said; you can never deny what you wrote. This book is "overpriced, and worth every penny of it." You can buy this at Amazon which is on sale for $7.95.

This book was recommende to my daughter by a college professor in 1990. I bought it at the time and read it lying down. I laughed so hard, I had to sit up... I have bought several copies since then as gifts, as I did this latest one. I lecture on the Healing Power Of Humor, and use lines form this book. It is a book you do not have to read from cover to cover in order, you can simply open a page and have a good laugh any time.
