To everyone: In my mind a decent review would focus on things that are slightly more measurable and specific. I agree with some of the respondents here that it depends on the person, etc., but can we please hear from someone who actually feels that the Ateneo MBA program has helped them become a better entrepreneur, business person or professional? I would love to go to AIM, but it not only costs 1M Php, it also requires a lot of full time focus (something we work-for-our-pay types cannot afford, at least at my level in the organization I work for), and UP--though I already graduated from there, so I feel like exploring other horizons to diversify my academic background a bit. Ateneo, UST or La Salle? So, in short, I am not too interested in finding out how rich you must be--I need to know how valuable it has proven to someone someone who actually went through it. Would anyone who comes by this forum have any input? Thanks in advance :-) Interesting, sometimes-funny read, all! ;-... Read more

Ateneo?? Ateneo is a school that will bring out the leader in you! ya maraming maarte, annoying, overconfident, kulang sa confidence etc.. but that does not define being an atenean. we respect diversity and learn how to overcome any kind of obstacles cuz despite our flaws, we keep an open mind so we will keep learning and never give up! 1/5? sa pinaka prestigious na university sa pinas? asa!XD

The most number of fanatics ever produced by the Jesuit system. Students are made to believe that carrying the name Ateneo would give them the edge but proven otherwise. Ateneans are greatly deceived the moment they enter the Jesuits bait...They would even devised things to undermine other school to make their school look better. But then again, it's all a deception...

Ateneo really is a money making school actually. It's not that Im criticizing Ateneo but that's the fact. Most of the artists in the PI let their child go to Ateneo so that even though they're child is pretty/rich but dumb, they can bribe the management. It's true. La Salle is just kind of the same as Ateneo but I can say that Ateneo is still worst that La Salle.... If you want to get a diploma with a worth of brain and not money...then go University of the Phil.......

Who said so that it is bad school, Ateneo MBA has one of the highest MBA program which is the Regis Program for Managers and professionals, It is tied  up to Regis University at Colorado USA. Let me tell you about Koreans studying here in the Phils, after High school they all wanted to enter Ateneo but its too bad only 0.5%  is admitted, Why? Because they have the worst English eventhough they have a good academic points in Math, what I'm saying is they'll enter La Salle proper at least 70% of them which has money at kung medyo mahina ulo, go to St. Benilde sayang kasi ibabayad eh..Eh di ba La Salle.  din yun? Now who's talking about nangnguha lang ng pera ang Ateneo? Nagdadaan ang students sa butas ng karayom before they are accepted. I think it's La Salle who;s getting money...your educational system is getting worst, di na nga kayo nakakatop sa board  exams for professionals... ATENEO'S GOAL AT MBA IS ... OUR COUNTRY IS OUR BUSINESS

Im surprised with the reactions of all the people towards Ateneo. There are either the fanatics or the incredibly jealous. Let me set the record straight as a 20 year practitioner in HR, and having interviewed over 8,000 candidates and observed them as they rise and fall within our organization (multinational energy.) Ateneans are almost always very eloquent and very studious. Naturally because the tuition alone guarantees that they come from a well to do family and will have certain standards of behavior and skill. Ateneans are commonly very in-the-box thinkers and zealots. But bright nonetheless. The impression we are under in the HR department is that the Jesuits train the students to believe that simply by going thru Ateneo their students know all the answers. Good for getting bright students with deep pockets. Poor preparation for real life with its twists and turns. We are not talking about exceptions, but the general flow of graduates from the school. Ateneans are generally rega... Read more

pls lang wag ninyong ganyanin ang ateneo dahil alam obvious naman na ang mga anti atenean ay ang mga hindi atenean.Ateneo is the best private school. The five ateneo universities are the best in the philippines in all aspects. So yang mga lasalistang mga walang magawa sa buhay kundi ang siraan ang ateneo ay magsitahimik na kayo dahil no match talaga yang la salle if compared to ateneo kaya nga you strive for the best sa sports dahil jan lang kayo sikat.

It's a low class b-school and it's all about getting that diploma. I know of some people coming from low quality high schools and colleges who have easily entered into the mba basic program specifically a ms. sy who is currently first year. i'm unimpressed by her resume and she's just there to find an easy way to get a professional diploma. makitid ang ulo and malandi. and believe me, she ain't the only one. there are more people i know who have entered and got the diploma relying on being spoon fed by their professors and on groupworks with professors don't care much for what the kids learn, but instead, the money they make spending a few hours in the rockwell campus. that doesn't say much for folks who have entered into the program. baka naghahanap lang ng asawa. napaka sagwa.

Very easy..not a world-class institution..but if its just the name you want and you plan to stay in the Philippines, it's ok. Filipinos are suckers for everything related to the Jesuits.

Teaches principles and trains you to think. Application of principles remain with the student. Those who cannot understand that, desires programs that just spoon feeds them with information.

All these comments are BS. it's either you rate it a 1 or a 5. hell, what's up with that? I am a student from Ateneo and I can say that it is one of the best the country has to offer. If you think that Ateneo is a money making institution, then you're right. In fact, almost all schools are. Money talks and if schools aren't money making institutions, then most probably, schools would close down. Diplomas are never easy to get if you work hard for them. If you got an easy diploma, then shame on you because you are a bona fide slacker. That cliche nasa Diyos ang awa, nasa tao ang gawa will always, always hold true. Schools like Ateneo will go far enough.. The students, ah, they will go the distance..

Ateneo's MBA program????? be wise... this institution only wants to make money. The students are just averaged-headed and cannot compete with other students around the globe. This is not to degrade but a concern for people and for the sake of false information. Ateno really is a money-making school

this institution just wants to make some money... Ateneo MBA especially Ateneo itself provides quality education but not enough for students to be competitive and good-thinkers. Ateneo should improve a lot especially it is far fourth behind the top 3 institutions in the Philippines namely: UP, LA SALLE AND UST.

The Ateneo MBA is coming up with a subject that shall encompass ethics and social philosophy with the aim of producing a graduate that is distinctively "Atenean"..... We could guess that the core value shall be "MAN FOR OTHERS for the GREATER GLORY OF GOD" - a teaching the Ateneo has been known since 1859..... Note: Jose Rizal, the Philippines' national hero, graduated from the Ateneo.

Personally, I think the MBA tag is just an added feature in a resume. "Nasa tao pa rin yan". There are people who are extra smart to earn huge fortune without an MBA. So, whether AIM ka pa or UP or LA SALLE or the underrated ATENEO MBA, IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE PERSON. To cite a few graduates of the ATENEO MBA : Ex-Pres. Fidel V. Ramos, Ex-Cabinet Secretary Raffy Alunan, Ms. Nieves Confesor of the AIM Dean's Office, Ms. Conchita Manabat of Deloitt, Ben Tiu-Chair of I-Bank, Wellington Ty of the Ayala Group, Willie Uy of Phinma Group, Jake Fleta - President of Jardin de Paradiso, Alex Villamar-President of PhilWeb Corporation, Gerry Valenciano - AVP of ICCP Ventures, etc. So, NASA TAO PA RIN ANG SUCCESS MO MGA PARE KO! AIM is a talk school, UP is good in planning, La Salle is the orig MBA Case method school and Ateneo is for the working class.

This is ONLY a money making mba school! Their graduates are terrible! Cheap school to acquire a diploma from. Beware of a school that has an "ateneo" name.
