Very good little film with Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges both giving fine performances. Good supporting cast too.

I thought this was a very good movie. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. Kevin Spacey plays an alien who has been institutionalized for psychological problems. Jeff Bridges plays the psychiatrist. Both of these men do an outstanding job. It's a well-written mix of astrophysics and psychology and is somewhat of a mystery itself. I'm not entirely sure of the credibility of some of the psychological concepts they explore, such as hypnotic regression (it is possible to create false memories, but Bridges relies on them nonetheless) or the ability to perform hypnosis on a non-human if they exist, but unless you're really nitpicky like me, it probably doesn't matter. It's definitely worth seeing.

This was interesting little movie it was supposed to be the greatest movie ever according to the press. Sadly it is not, in fact it is quite predictable and depressing. Kevin Spacey is great but thats about it, not really what I would call Sci-Fi

This is a movie you want to watch by yourself to think about it, is he an alien or some random guy that's gone insane. It would have been better if they just told you the answer instead of leaving you guessing, but the acting was pretty good and I liked the characters. Recommended to see once.

A (mostly) gentle fantasy that starts a bit slow and continues at an unhurried pace. "K-Pax" poses the question, "Is this guy just one of the more interesting nuts in the bowl or could he possibly be exactly who he says he is?". Spacey’s portrayal of Prot is endearing, whimsical, and, as usual, brilliant. Jeff Bridges (who is IMHO one of the more underrated actors in his age group) also gives us his usual excellent low-key performance as the psychiatrist who tries to unravel the mystery of this man who claims to be from the far off planet K-Pax. By the time the end rolls around you are presented with two distinct choices. I can’t speak for everyone but I was convinced Prot’s story was true - and if it wasn’t it should have been.

Not the greatest movie, but deffinately worth watching. Kevin Spacey is brilliant as always, and it's very original.

Not the best film ever, but i found it strangley moving. I wish i could go to K- Pax. I wish I could see things throught the eyes of Kevin Spacey's character. What a brilliant actor. What a different film. I love the fact that it is left up to us to figure if Prod(?) is from another world or not. I like to think he was. Beautifully shot a lovingly acted. K-Pax is a different type of film, that has effected me in a way i cannot describe.

"K-Pax" was a big disappointment. It gets off to a great start, and then halfway through it starts to fall apart. The second half of the movie features the plot collapsing in on itself and going up in flames. I was surprised because I thought the story sounded interesting (it's about a psychiatrist who has a patient claiming to be from the planet K-Pax), and I really like Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges, the stars of the show. Once Jeff Bridges (the psychiatrist) starts hypnosis sessions with Kevin Spacey (the mental patient), everything goes downhill. The ride to the bottom is filled with triteness and manipulation, and the ending is contrived. If you must see this movie, at least wait until it's a rental.
