10/25/2004 | Or a pencil, or a writing utensil. Then, when you manage to find one, it's out of ink, or has a broken lead. I always get stuck with that tough luck. Then, I find one that works, and I forget paper!

10/24/2004 | A good pen is hard to find. I know I'm going to sound nuts, but I'm very picky about my pens. Is it too much to ask for a pen to write smoothly throughout, to have a nice, soft grip and easy-to-find refillable ink? I love black gel pens for how well they flow (er, certain brands--a cheaper one, the Focus LX, was my favorite for some time, but the refills never worked out. !@#$). But, I can't use 'em where I work now, so I had to go on the hunt for the idea ballpoint pen. The one I've got works well for me for now, but I gotta see if it's got refills that are easy-to-find. Ohhh-kay, that's my blurb on writing utensils, probably more than you cared to know.

10/20/2004 | When you need one the most, and there isn't one that's convenient, it's especially frustrating -- like when you need to take down a phone number or some information you had heard on television. While looking for one, you're trying to retain that info while concentrating on your search. After three or so minutes of running around like a chicken with its head cut off, you finally find one. Then when you start writing, it DOESN'T WORK!!
