they have sum catchy songs but the first time i heard them i thought they were pop rock and then i found out they were under pop punk im not 1 2 really argue about it but i just didnt think that was rite

"I don't wanna be in love." That's a fucking dance song. They didn't even start out as a pop-punk band like all of their counterparts. Their first album sounds like Smash Mouth. Then they jumped on the pop-punk bandwagon

Make me embarrassed to be from the DC area, but thankful I live in Virginia and not Maryland (another way were the superior state. We didn't spawn Good Charlotte)

i knew id have to update my rating of this crap after all the hate mail i got from all the 12 year old girls who love this pile of sh*t they call an awesome punk rock band. yea, these are the same dumb c*nts that think avril lavinge is JUST 2 KEWL!! do all of us who listen to real music a favor, grab daddy's .45, put it to your head, and BLOW YOUR F**KING BRAINS OUT!

They are awesome! I love all of them! n e one who says they suck, sucks! they rock and who ever said that they aren't punk, you wouldn't know punk if it bit your.....yeah. In case you haters haven't noticed, rock has changed since bono from u2 was 19 years old.

I first heard about Good Charlotte when a local radio station played Motivation Proclamation for the first time (early 1999). I was hooked on the tune and called up and demanded to know you the artist was and where I could hear more of their stuff... I bought the album (Good Charlotte) when it first came out and loved the album (I had to buy it twice more cause I wore the cds out). When The Young and The Hopeless was released I also was one of the first in my town to buy it. And With The Chronies of Life and Death I ordered it so I would have it the day it came out. Their songs are catchy, make me smile when I am depressed, and some (Wounded and Hold On) almost made me cry the first time I heard them... I have seen them in concert 5 times and I am going again later this month. They put on an amazing live show and they have beautiful voices. I gave them a 5 star rating because the seem to have something that no other punkish popish roch group out there has... When I figure out what it is... I'll let you know ^_^

i've been a fan of GC way before they were EVER popular on the radio....and especially before they became popular with middle schoolers. it saddens me that such great music is downplayed by so many ppl. oh well! ha. and yeah, Benji IS hotter than Joel. its possible for one identical twin to be more attractive based on the way they choose to dress themselves and to act. ppl's personalities can make them attractive or repulsive!

Worst band of all time. Terrible guitar, terrible drums, and whichever twin is the singer, he sounds exactly the same as all these other Blink 182-clone bands. The lyrics are literally third grade level. Anybody who thinks these people are any good are under 15, think that Benji or Joel is hot (and they only mention ONE is hot even though they're freakin' identical twins). They also think that the Ramones were an ancient people who conquered the Greeks. P.S., whoever decided to categorize these guys under 'punk', promptly eat a gun. P.P.S., die.

Sadly listening their utterly uninspired and repetitive music overlayed with desperately uninteresting whining and complaining is a dismal musical alternative to walking up to a very active construction site and cupping one's ear.

Please do us all a favor and kill yourself if you actually like this crap! If I could have I would have rated this with 0 stars. They are complete sell-outs and a pathetic excuse for a punk band. I'm pretty sure that the previous reviewers here that gave them 5 stars are 13 years old anyway and have no clue what good music is anyway.

GOOD CHARLOTTE IS THE BEST PUNK BAND EVER!!!!!!!!!!! I have 2 of their CD's and they totally rock!!! I also want to add, that Benji is the kewlest guy from GC and i love Joel's voice. Billy's drawings on their newest album is sooo good.
