10/23/2005 | I can't see how it had much of an effect either way, but the remark served no purpose and made Kerry look like an opportunist purposely exploiting a personal issue of the opposition to score political points. Hmm, hasn't that happened before?

02/11/2005 | I loved it. Defense of Marriage Act and there's Cheney's daughter right there in the background. . .gays are quality members of our culture, you homophobic morons, the days of hiding them as 'family secrets' are over. Hypocrisy anyone? family values?

11/05/2004 | This did hurt Kerry a bit by making him look mean spirited. I think the Cheney's exploited their outrage as best as possible to maximize the political damage it would cause. It actually rated the highest negatives with a target group of any statements made during the third debate, and also received way too much press for Kerry's liking.

10/23/2004 | This was a complete outrage. Kerry is so desperate to save his campaign that he had to use the Vice Presidents daughter to try and win votes. This was a debat between Kerry and Bush, not Kerry and an innocent family member. Only 2 stars because I don't see it affected the election much. It just shows how Kerry is an all around asshole.

10/23/2004 | Kerry's mention of Cheney's lesbian daughter was awkward and there was really no reason for him to bring her into the discussion. Some things are better left unsaid. But the Cheneys' outrage over what Kerry said was hypocritcal and excessive. People have known for years that Mary Cheney is gay;it's not like Kerry was outing her on national TV. I felt no sympathy for Lynne Cheney when she boo-hooed that Kerry is not a nice man. Right, and your husband is Mr. Charm? I wonder if Elizabeth Edwards was right when she said that the Cheneys are secretly ashamed of their daughter's sexual orientation. But more than likely, this tempest in a teacup was made to distract from Bush's anemic performances in the debates.

10/23/2004 | I thought it was pretty tasteless of Kerry to bring her up, but I also think it's pretty tasteless to for the Bush administration to raise this red herring issue in the first place.
