I think if we make a commitment, we should do everything we can to stick to it. I realize things come up at times, but sometimes the same one will tell you over and over again that they're going to do something, and they never do it always coming up with an excuse. Pretty soon, you wonder whether to believe them on anything they say.

In life, there is never such a thing as absolutes. For me, my word is my bond. It may sound old-fashioned, but you won't need a written contract and a lawyer to bind me by my words. But life is changeable, like MissPatRat said. Maybes sometimes apply.

If I am unsure about whether or not I can commit to doing something, it's safer to say "I might", "maybe", "I don't know" or "I'll see".

if i say something you can bet i will do it. i don't like the way it feels when people let me down so i dont want to make others feel that way. on the other hand sometimes its seems like you become taken for granted cuz they know that you'll do it no matter what

Honoring your commitments is essential to good character. It means keeping your word. When I give my word on something, whatever it is, I will do anything, and everything in my power to keep it. When you have nothing else, you still have your word.
