In the true spirit of Judeo-Christianity, people in our neighborhood not only gave out bandaides, but the city kept ambulances posted on the street corners. Parents sent their kids out with first aid kits. The second most popular sound was "MEDIC!"...behind "OUCH!". No one said "Trick or Treat "out loud in our neighborhood.

I guess our Halloweens were different than yours. It was such a battle zone that on the last Halloween that I remember, Keven Costner, dressed in Union blues, came galloping right down the middle of our street with his arms out-stretched...

I thought this said Band-Aid, and figured that you rang the bell and a chorus of singers who were big in The British Isles in the 80's came out and sang to you. Then Bono and Sting would kick the rest of them to death before having a cage match to see who could grab the most attention in the battle of the biggest hams in popular music.

Ok I remember getting some really bad stuff when I was a kid, but never once got a bandaid! Maybe that person ran out of candy and had to look all over for something she/he could give out that they didn't really need?

well they could be looked upon as useful they could come in handy with the raors the neighbors are handing out or with the ketchup packets you get you can create a spur of the moment halloween costume
