Forever 21

I work in a Forever 21 in Kansas. I have no experience with the online purchases, but I know in our store, we pay very much attention to the customers, and are always willing to help customers build outfits, or find specific items, or answer any questions they may have. I have read most of the other reviews, and I will try to help people out a little.
The clothes on the mannequins are picked by separate employees than the employees who are working in the store during the store hours. Sales associates and store managers work during store hours, and we are not aloud to remove the items from the mannequins. The mannequins are very expensive, and also, removing the items from them would mess up the image of the store. If a customer wants one of those items, the employees are supposed to first run the skew number through our computers to see if there are any of the items somewhere else in the store. This is only somewhat accurate because the system only updates once a week. However, if the computers say the item is still in the store, the employee should then begin to search for it. I know in my store, we search alllll over until we're sure we don't have it. If they don't have it, the employee is then supposed to check with other stores for the item, or place the item on hold, and order another.
Most of the reviews complain of rude employees and poor customer service. I'm very sorry to hear this. To make sure something is done about this, I would call the store and ask to speak with the manager. If the manager is also rude, I would ask them how to reach the district manager, and speak with them about it. I know at my store, if there is a complaint about a rude employee, the employee is questioned about it and written up. I'm not sure how many chances you get after the first write-up, but they would eventually be fired if their behavior continued.
A little advise: I would try everything on that you are considering purchasing, and make sure there are no holes, or any other damages. The return policy is a little strict, and I'm not exactly sure of the reason behind it, but it is what it is, and since the clothes are cheap, I wouldn't complain too much. When you go to make your purchase, the cashier is supposed to ask you if you are aware of the return policy. If they do not say this, I'm not sure what you should do other than take it to a manager, but I do know they are required to ask you that. If you say no, they will tell you. The receipt also states the policy:
"Exchange or store credit is allowed within 21 days of purchase with original receipt and tags attached. Merchandise must be unwashed, unworn, and undamaged for exchange or store credit.
Sale merchandise and jewelry are all FINAL sale items and cannot be returned for exchange or store credit.
Store credit and gift cards are not redeemable for cash or transferable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
There are NO cash refunds or credit back to credit/debit cards"
Yes, I would agree that some of the clothes are not the best quality. However, they are very cheap, so in my opinion, you are getting what you pay for. I loooove the clothes in the store. It may be a little overwhelming when you are trying to find something specific, but believe it or not, there is an organization. It is typically based on style, fabric, and colors. You should ask an employee for help, and they should be able to point you in the right direction, or help you find the item.
Now my personal review... my favorite items in the store are the jeans and the basics to an outfit. I have had 3 pairs of jeans for over a year, and only 1 pair is beginning to get a hole above one of the back pockets, which is reasonable considering how often I wear them, and the fact that they are made with very soft and flexible materials. I just bought another pair of jeans that are extremely comfortable, and were only around $14. Another pair I bought over a year ago were only $12.50, and they are still in good condition. I love to buy camis and different colors of comfortable tshirts. The basic camis are only $2.50, and one I bought over a year ago just recently developed a hole near the bottom where I constantly grab it to pull it down. The tshirts I buy are only $4.80, and they are soo comfortable! I would just pay close attention to the care instructions, because I machine washed a little cotton dress that it said to hand wash, and it messed up the dress a little. Before I began working at my store, I noticed the employees do not do very much greeting, which I actually liked. I hate to go to a store and have employees constantly asking me how I'm doing and if I'm finding everything alright, for me to just continue to give them a fake smile and repeat that I'm just looking. However, if I ever needed help with anything, an employee was always close by, and more than willing to help me with anything.
I would gladly answer any other questions!
