I grew up with Jentezen Franklin. I was good friends with his sister and our parents were friends. He is the real deal, just as his father, the late Billy Franklin. I know he was raised right, and I believe he is in constant communion with our Heavenly Father. I cannot believe people accuse him of trying to be famous for expanding his ministry!! Yes ! THere are lots of people in North Ga who are lost, but the lost are not limited to North GA. I am not angry that he moved away from our home state of North Carolina! He goes where God leads and I would never even consider judging someone for that. God Bless!

False teacher.

He is a false teacher because he uses Israel's blessing under the law as for us today in the age of grace. You as a gentile were never and never will be under the covenant that God made with His chosen people. They were under the law. Paul, the apostle of the gentiles tells you that you are not under the law but under grace. There is NOW no difference between Jew and gentile. All are under sin and in need of a savior. Israel was blessed when they obeyed and cursed when they didn't obey. They were under the mosaic law. Today we are in the dispensation of grace and are blessed with all SPIRITUAL blessings. Total different program today. Just as in the name of his show, Kingdom Connection. Jesus came to give his chosen people a kingdom and a King. They crucified Him. We are not waiting on a kingdom ruled by twelve tribes but we are going to meet Him in the air and be with Him in heaven and we will be joint heirs. Total difference. Rightly divide the word of truth. He wrongly divides the word. You are on the wrong side of truth. It's truth, but not your!

I am originally from Gainesville and remember when Free Chapel was very small. Since Pastor Franklin came to Free Chapel, it has thrived.

I would be very afraid to criticize or judge Pastor Franklin (or any pastor that that matter) because he is God's man and it's evident when you look at this church. You'd better be careful what you say about God's man. God has given him talents to write (every book is really good), sing, play his sax and preach some pretty powerful messages. There is no way that God does not have his hand on Jentezen Franklin.

I have attended Free Chapel's productions, special events and occasional services when I'm visiting family--even though I am Baptist and have fundamental doctrinal differences with Free Chapel. I can tell you this, however. I am a very strong Christian and cemented in my faith. The Spirit of God is in that place and you feel it as soon as you enter into the building. There are ministries for every age group and interest. The church as a whole is passionate in their beliefs and works. I attended their Christmas Eve service in 2008 and have never been to a more spiritual gathering. I also attended "The Promise" on Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday. What talent and passion for reaching people I witnessed in these services!

If you don't like Pastor Franklin or Free Chapel, then don't go. But I would certainly keep quiet if I didn't have anything positive to say because they are reaching people. You cannot argue that. For those of you who are critical, maybe you could spend your time cultivating that same passion and reaching people for our Savior. That's the Great Commission--to the ends of the earth (and California).

It would be great if we could put aside our prejudices and our own preferences and see that God uses people like Jentezen Franklin to reach those who weren't as blessed as I was to have grown up in a Christian family with a father for a pastor (who was also criticized from time to time when someone in our church didn't get their way) and a mother with strong Christian values. I pray for Jentezen Franklin and the ministry of this church faithfully. Keep reaching people for our Lord.

I watched a few videos and have thought about visiting Free Chapel. Im a member of another church in the area. I find it strange that Jentezen Franklin has started a church in CA when there are so many lost people right here in North GA. There must be a lot of additional cost involved with distance. Im not saying its wrong but if anyone wants to commit or explain how to justify it I would be thankful. To me is SEEMS that a pastor that has a church on the west coast and east is not only expanding his ministry but trying to become famous at the same time, I'm not syaing thats so but it makes me feel that way.

Can anyone tell me how much money is spent in the airfair, hotel or living quarters, meals transportation, how many travel each time that the church pays for , the total cost, of each trip back and forth. Is it unfair for me to know these things if I were a member and tithe my money at Free Chapel. Please commit

Rick Warren is already working hard in CA and many others. My personal belief is that a pastor should take care of his own flock, expand, grow in the region or area he lives.

Please dont think Im bashing, Im only curious because there are so many pastors that use that privilege and position to promote themselves.

Im extreamly conservative and concerned. I have read so many wonderful things about him I just hope its so. The one star is only to draw attention for a commit back. I do not know enough to make a honest rating but Im trying.

Let us who have believed on Jesus as our Lord and Savior remember whats most important...the good news that God sent his only begotten son Jesus to take upon himself the sins of those chosen from the beginning of time the be saved, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, exhausted God's wrath that we might not have to experience it for eternity, He imputed His righteousness upon us that we would be seen as righteous in Gods eyes, and rose again that death would be defeated we would have eternal life with Him in Glory! If preaching does not revolve around Christ and the life we called to live according to the Bible in Him, then there's something terribly wrong going on. I went to free chapel from '93-'06 the emphasizes on paying tithes that God would bless me...30, 60, or 100 fold. I remember him saying things at an alter call like, quoting form the Bible, "if you dont acknowledge me before man, i will not acknowledge you before my Father who is in Heaven!" implying that if you are afraid to come up infront of everybody in congregation for an alter call then Christ Jesus will not intercede for you in heaven, so i went up no LESS than 20 times. I remember prosperity teachers came and taught such as kenneth copeland, rod parsely, perry stone, joyce meyers, jessie duplantis, and others, and Franklin himself preaching that God wants you to be wealthy and healthy, and if you are not being "blessed" in your finances and health, you are doing something wrong. The Gospel of Jesus Christ was not clearly, and truthfully taught to me the whole time I was a member at Free Chapel. I think thats extremely sad. I have heard a sermon or two thats wasnt totally off from what the Scriptures actually meant but thats it. For the most part its all about speaking in tongues, getting revelations, getting the things YOU want in this life! These philosophies and ideas come from misinterpretation of the Holy Scriptures which derives from a want for power and money! Jentezen Franklin is not far from being a False Teacher if not one already! Please read the Bible and seek the truth of the scriptures and not want you want to hear. Look at how the Bible flows contextually and you will see that franklins teachings dont match up!

When i listened to Pastor Jentezen Franklin for the first time on TBN, i heard the word in a whole new dimension. I listened quietly as he unleashed rev after rev when he was preaching the message about Jacob and Esau. I screamed and screamed when i caught the revelation behind what he was saying and my friends thought i was mad but i didn't blame them because i knew they could never ever understand what i caught. Since then, i fell in love with his teaching and now, when i carry my bible, i don't just study anymore i 'EAT' the word. God bless him real good. Funmi Adeleye from Nigeria.

I am a newcomer to FCWC. Pastor Jentezen's preaching surpasses phenomenal. His illustrated sermons set the ambiance for the worship service on most occasions. In addition to setting the ambiance, the illustrated sermons tie the text or theme to provide originality to scripture like you have never seen or heard before. Pastor Jentezen create conditions in ministry that foster flawless, creativity. Pastor Jentezen typically provides amusing moments which never lose the content of the message. In addition, he consistently win others to Christ by compelling men to receive Jesus at the close of the sermon.

I've been a member of FCWC in Gainesville for 14 years. Over those years I have been priviledged to get to know Pastor Franklin personally. He married my husband and me, he performed my Dad's funeral yet had never met him, and when my brother-in-law died he performed the memorial service. I still remember him calling me at home after hearing about the death of my b-i-l and his words were "what can I do to help?" Let me assure all of the critics out there that Jentezen is the "real thing!" Is he perfect? No, he's human; a man of God made up of flesh and blood. He has his everyday struggles just like you and me. He has a large family and they have the same issues to deal with just like you and me. Jentezen is an anointed man of God. In person he is very humble. He believes what he preaches. We are so blessed to have such a great man of God to teach us the word of God. To God be the glory!!!

His 21 days of fasting every January has become one of his obsession. Fasting is indeed taught in the Bible, but when it is used to manipulate the masses it becomes an istrument of manipulation. Perhaps more Bible and less Jentezen might be advisable and useful. His association with other questionable "evangelists" is another point to his detriment. It's not easy to escape the "feel good" without being good preaching, it's so popular and rewarding.

Every message that Pastor Franklin presents gives me more comfort and encouragement. I believe that he speaks the truth and his intentions are to help others and save as many as possible for the Kingdom of God. Occasionally he does ask for finances to further his purpose (to serve the Almighty). It does cost money to get to all the nations. I have not heard him speak anything that contradicts the Word of God. We are to weigh every message against the Bible and not to accept anything contrary to its teaching. Praise God for Pastor Franklin, he has and will change many lives with his simple and profound teaching.

Why is it that a Sinful man can be wealthy and have nice things, but a G0DLY man like PJF can't. My God owns everything and blesses who He wishes and who am I or anyone else to question that. PJF is probably one of the most humble men I've had the pleasure to meet, and I gladly tithe to FC and proudly claim him as my Pastor.

I used to think he was shady, but now I know otherwise. God led me to fasting then led me directly to Jentezen and his teaching to help guide me in my fast. It would seem coincidental to an unbeliever, but this was no coincidence. There is not doubt in my mind that the Good Lord is using Jentezen along with many other great people of God, to raise the church up. I too coil sometimes at some money raising efforts(ref: Robert Tilton), but we are not to muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn either. I read Nehemiah today, and it's clearly scriptural and mandatory for the community of believers to provide for the leaders & workers of the church. It's a shame they have to beg or sell things in order to prosper & grow. It's not their fault, it's ours because we don't cheerfully give without expecting anything in return.

I love this man, he is a great man of G-d. You can see it and feel the Spirit of the Lord when he speaks. Because of the humbleness and Spiritual maturity that has express through his vision and his way of talking about the Lord and fasting which I am big on and he talks about it a lot. I pray G-d continues to bless him and open His way to do the things that others could not do, it's not to go and bring people to Christ, it's to be like Christ and draw all men to the Father. I believe the ministry is way OFF, everybody wants to go to the mainstream, to the media, have big churches and say I am bringing people to G-d. G-d does not need us to bring people to him, what He ask is for us to be like the Son and all men will be drawn to us. No, I am not against going to Africa or third world country to help or if someone is in need to help, all I am saying is the life of Jesus Christ should be so profound in us that People we come in contact with on a daily basis should be able to detect or see light in us and ask, can't help but ask, How we are the way we are? What are we doing to be so at peace, can't help but ask about why we are the way we are. Basically, what I am saying is that our lives should reflect Christ that all will be curious and be drawn.

Hello Brothers and Sisters I would also like to add to the good things the Lord has done in my life through Pastor Jentezen Franklin. First and foremost I would like to give God all the Glory for what he has done for me in my life. I remember going through a ruff time in my life and I too was watching one of his powerful preachings it was like he knew what I was going through but God knew I need to hear what Pastor had to say that late night. You see God is so good that in his word he promises us that we will never go through something we can not handle. Well that day just happen to be the last straw where I felt like I was done with I had hit rock bottom. But Glory to God and his Mercy he lifted me up and put me on my feet and said son I am here do not worry for I will never let you go. I want to share this with you because he says we should share our testimony so that others may be blessed and so that he can get all the Glory and Victory, Amen! I know someone is out there right now saying this is it but I got good news for you God is there with you right now. Be Blessed and know that God is good... Much Love, Brother in the Lord

There is no such thing as a generational curse for the believer in Christ Jesus. Our Bible says that Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death. Hebrews 2:14-15 says "that through death he [Jesus] might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;" Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.Gal 3:13Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:Colossians 1:12-14 "Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:" What Christians need to do is read their Bible. All the spiritual warfare material they will ever need is found in the pages of God's Holy Word. Our offensive weapon against the devil is the Word of God. The logos...the spoken word. The quoting of Scriptures. We need to know the Scriptures and obey God's Word and pray so that we will not be ignorant of the devil's devices. The devil loves to twist and distort the Word of God. He will distract the Christian from reading the Word of God.  NOTE: I'M ADDING THE BELOW LIST 5-18-2007 (Jentezen Franklin, TBN, Share-A-Thon, March 30, 2004)"The Lord told me to tell you that 3,000 people that are watching, a miracle is about to begin again.  Go to the phone now and say, "I'm sowing a $55 seed."Jentezen Franklin, TBN, Share-A-Thon, March 30, 2004)"Some of your ministries are at a standstill, sow a $55 seed and see what God will do."(Jentezen Franklin, TBN, Share-A-Thon, March 30, 2004)"Sow a $55 grace grace seed (Double Portion), some may criticise and not believe me.  Well, just sit there.  Some of you may get a blessing, but you won't get no money."  (Jentezen Franklin, TBN, Share-A-Thon, March 30, 2004)"Just like Bishop Long said, 'You need to bring your report, you need to bring your spoils (Give to TBN) to God.'"

Jentezen Franklin is man who practices what he preaches, in all areas of his life. I have known him and his family for years, and they are the real deal. He loves his family more than his ministry. He has a true burden for those who don't know Jesus, either through salvation or in a deeper relationship, ie, "...that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings..."  Phil 3:10.  This is the guy that leads his 5000 member church on a 21 day FAST every January!!! He has been doing these fasts since high school, and credits that discipline, more than anything else, as being the source of God's blessing on his ministry.

In his services, he seldom talks about money except an occasional offering where he will speak on the blessings that come from giving. Neither he nor the church need the money as they are nearly debt-free. He teaches it because he has practiced it himself for his whole life and sincerely believes that people need to tithe to have God's fullest blessings in their life.  I think it also helps that he is a fourth generation preacher (speaking of generational blessings).

Again, this guy is the real deal. And please know, I am always careful not to drink anybody's kool aide.

Best to you, in the Lord!

I selected 5 stars because Jentzen Franklin is a man of God whom God has used greatly for His glory. It is greatly inspiring and refreshing to see Brother Franklin inspiring people to pray and fast, which Jesus said is necessary to break certain strongholds of the devil. Prayer and fasting also increases our faith. This combination helps us to have power over our own flesh, and to see more of God's power manifested in setting people free from the bondage of sin. I have no comment about TBN except that at least that they are doing something for the Lord, more than many others are doing. But with or without TBN, Jentzen Franklin is a man consecrated to the Lord and an instrument of God who has inspired many to seek God, get closer to Him, and to do more for His glory. Glenn Bristow

Pastor Franklin always preaches a very relevant word! We love him and I do believe he lives what he preaches. We spent 6 years under his ministry at Free Chapel and he is a great preacher of the Word of God. I do wish he would distance himself from the TBN Circus Train and the Benny Hinn Show! He has paid a high price for the anointing he has and we love him and his family. I pray he will always be consecrated to God and continue to preach holiness.

11/19/06~~~~I got up early this morning surfing through the channels and came across Jentezen Franklin and was quite impressed with his sermon. I ususally hate loud and drama pastors. But Jentezen Franklin was surly a spotter like he expressed this morning to my soul~~~~I hope he receives this message and to let him know that my current book, "Knock and I Will Dine With You" is a book he needs to read. I have been a Pastor for 16 years anbd recently heard Jentzen Franklin speak at a Conference here in Australia. His messages were biblical, helpful, spiritual, passionate - and interesting as well!!! All those we knew at the Conference, including my teenage kids, were really blessed through Jentzen's ministry. I even hope to visit his church sometime when I am in the USA.

I have been attending Free Chapel for 13 years and Pastor Franklin has never compromised the gospel.. He has a true heart for PEOPLE...You can feel the burden he carries for lost souls. He is not about $, he is about bringing people to God through Jesus Christ. THAT is the heart of this man. He loves God and if you love God, PEOPLE, not money are your agenda.... People are the heart of God aren't they? His nature is very quiet, and humble. Truly humble..... He lives up to what a man of God should be. May more men learn to humble themselves as he has that God may use them...... = )

Although I believe Jentezen Franklin is sincere in what he believes his success is, never the less, based more upon his personality and drive for success than on his theological education and preparation for the ministry of the gospel. By reading "what we believe" on the churches site it is evident he is a victim of the "decisionist" movement and the neo-Pentecostal heresies which are unique to the only 20th century. Has God used him? Of course. God's arm is not shortened and He will use His word in spite of those who use it unrighteously. He needs to commit himself totally and lay his entire life and "ministry" at the feet of Jesus. Perhaps then God would enlighten him and illuminate the scriptures to reveal God's version of the gospel in the wat He intended it to be understood. As it is now the chances are good that his "ministry" is doing more damage than good to the cause of the "right gospel.

Blessed with a unique mix of talents, Jentezen Franklins passion and God given assignment is to bring people into Gods presence. Through his anointed teaching, using real life examples that illustrate biblical principles and make the Word of God come alive, thousands of people have received healing, salvation and deliverance. The outreach of his ministry goes far beyond his church
