A Socialist college law professor who has never run a lemonade stand. What should we expect from such a Chicago politician.

Whatever he did as a Senator is water under the bridge. Let the American people speak on November 4.

Barack Obama and Democrat Chris Dodd knew about the financial mess with Fannie Mae and took money from them to do nothing. Obama has ads that criticize McCain for his ties to lobbyist. Now am I supposed to trust him to fix it?

Anybody hear that? It's the air being let out this mans campaign. With the recent release of videos showing Mr. Obama's longtime spiritual leader (and I use that term loosely) Jeremiah Wright, we may for the first time be getting to see what is really going on in this mans head. For most of the campaign thus far, we have been waxed with beautiful speeches of some kind of utopian future and that all will be right with the world if we only elected him to be our supreme leader. It's amazing what kind of following a person can get if they say all the right things. Mr. Obama offers up many ideas that those on the far left love to hear, and yet he doesn't explain how he's going to accomplish any of it. Meanwhile, the crowd becomes deafening! The roar foes on, "Obama...Obama...Obama!" Hey folks, wake up! This isn't a rock concert...this isn't a game...this is real life and it ain't fair and never will be! So, back to Mr. Wright. We see in the videos and hear the audio tapes of a man who claims to be a man of God. As I listened to the speeches, one after another, I realized that he is not a man of God. He is a fraud. God would never condone the things this man said. And for a "Reverend" to use the Lords name in vain (did he forget the 10 Commandments?) is beyond my imagination. Jesus was black? Who cares! Jesus doesn't care what your skin color is or where you came from. It doesn't matter. And by the way, Jesus was a Jew and the Garden of Eden was not in Africa...READ the Bible before making stupid assumptions. Anyway, I could go on about this bigot named Jeremiah Wright, but we must look at what impact he has in Mr. Obama's future. If the Senator had only visited this church once in his lifetime and never went back, I would be willing to excuse him. Unfortunately, Mr. Obama has attended this church for 20 years along with his wife and eventually his children. If you drill enough hate speech into a persons head, that person will eventually believe what they are being told. Mr. Obama's wife had previously said that "For the first time in her life she was proud to be an American." I guess we can all see now where that process of thinking began to take root, right? What about the Senator's children? They have been subjected to this racist, anti-American drivel week after week and are being trained to think in a similar manner. Meanwhile, Mr. Obama never says a word about how he really feels. His relationship with this "reverend" makes one wonder what he really believes. How do you feel Senator? How do you feel about America? Are you proud to be an American? Do you really like white people or are you just patronizing us? Some serious questions need to be answered by this man. Not just what's your favorite color or do you like Coca Cola or Dr. Pepper. This man needs to be drilled hard about WHO he is before he ever gets close to the Oval Office. Can you imagine bigot Wright being a Presidents spiritual advisor? "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do!" Now we see Mr. Obama trying to distance himself from bigot Wright. Interesting. "It's time for a change! It's time for hope! Yes we can!" Lovely. We can what, stick a dagger in the heart of everyone who has ever fought for racial equality in this country? We've come so far, only to be sent back in time, before it was a dream. People, if you support this man, I'm not asking you to abandon him, but to simply seek the truth about him. Find out about him and what he stands for as a man, a politician, and an American. When you've left no stone unturned, then make your decision. Did I write enough?

Great speaker, Intelligent, going places. New fresh Talent, young, energetic. I do not like his polotics on illegal immagrants and health care, the War (hum..debateable). Other than that. He's the Man!

Apparently God's Own Party is scared to death of Obama. They've even gone so far as to spread lies about his religious background and beliefs.

Very charismatic but inexperienced. . .also far too literate and smart for the job. . .
louiethe20th 01/22/2007
The man is a very talented and charismatic speaker. His downside is his lack of experience and his true liberal side that he hides. He also has a strong Muslim background that he also tries to hide. This will be a sad day in our country's history if he won the presidency; Almost as bad as a Hillary Clinton win!

He's an empty canvas, but who's supplying the colors....maybe John Kerry and Howard Dean

I like HIM, and I LIKE his politics! Very intelligent, articulate man whom the Republicons fear, given his 'shoot from the hip' style. We NEED to listen to him because he has a LOT of truthful things to say about us!

i like him, but i dont like his politics.

I give this great man a 4 only becaue he is a freshman senator, but a good one at that. Also, he could easily turn into a 5 star rating. He is you classic story of a poor black man, although lived in Hawaii, is dad was a Kenyan goat farmer, and he went onto achieve, academically...what no black person has done before, and became the editor of Harvard Law Review. He is a rising star, and a future presidential candidate. Chose to serve his people of Illinois instead of taking a bigger paying job for a corporation. He, so far, has been a great public servant, and I hope he continues his trend. Thanks, "skinny kid with a funny name." You are a diamond in the rough.
mfgnet 10/31/2005
He's also white, but uses his blackness for political advantage. As far as people thinking he's handsome, he looks like a monkey! No racisim was intended in that statement. I think it must be the big ears! Well anyway, I think he's overhyped. And as far as him being president, which most libs are saying that he'll become someday, I just don't see it. Blacks have a lot of growing up to do before there will ever be a black president. First of all they ouoght to quite whinning and start being self sufficiant, and stop shooting down blacks who try to better themselves by rejecting their victimhood. By the way he gets a 1, but he's really a 0.
GenghisTheHun 07/25/2005
Might be over-hyped--we'll see.
chappellefan 05/26/2005
The first black man that would ever earn my vote for President. His speech at the DNC was a mind-blower. Here comes 2012!!!
Jar-Jar Binks 01/30/2005
An intuitive, handsome young man who ought to run this country someday. With his ambition, he'll represent his constituents quite well. Cheers for Mr. Obama.
ChatnChew 11/16/2004
Came from nowhere to the US Senate. Just like another notable from Illinois - Carol Mosely-Braun. A product of the political machine of this corrupt state.
demitasse 11/14/2004
He's another Al-Taqiyah (google it) Muslim raised in Indonesia by a Muslim father who suddenly claims he's a christian after he starts his political career. If you know anything about Islam, you'll understand why caution is in order.
bsd987 11/10/2004
I'll start the bandwagon and say that the smartest person elected to the senate will do a great job. If he does not, I will change my vote, but I would be shocked if that happened. A brilliant man that will be a great Senator and hopefully one day a great president. Mr Political, if the majority of americans saw this, why did Obama get 74% of the Illinois vote?
EschewObfuscat ion 11/07/2004
This guy appears to have a lot of potential but if anyone thinks he's on track to run for the presidency, he's in the wrong position. We don't ordinarily elect Senators from historically liberal states to the presidency. So, I would quell that talk for the time being, especially before Hillary catches wind of it. That would be hazardous to Barack's health.
Mr.Political 11/03/2004
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Obama is the result of the modern Democratic/Michael Moore/Al Franken Party and nothing good can come out of that. And the majority of Ameircans seem to think likewise.
