Agree that Thune is a rising star within the GOP. Just the fact that he was able to defeat Daschle will put him in the running for President, maybe in '08. He won't get it yet, there are more senior members of the party waiting for their chance. However, Thune's young and has the rest of his career ahead of him. I put him in the same category as Barack Obama, he will be ready to run in about 8-11 years after they gain a little more stature.
