Depends on how they're tailored. I think if you pick out the right style and the right colors, this can definitely work.

For me it wasn't so much a fashion statement as a necessity, when I was working the graveyard shift on the MD-11 pressure pit during winter, on a cold night or morning. Sometimes a jacket was to cumbersome to work with, and a long sleeved shirt under a tshirt helped.

Layered, sloppy clothing? Yawn. Not exactly an original fashion breakthrough. When you consider the various styles of say, the last 40 years I'd class it as more faddish than outrageous.
