My ma was also an expert on animal husbandry. She used to walk into my room and state: "This is the worst pig-sty I ever seen in my life!"

04/06/2006 | Reminds me of a Billy Connolly sketch where he recounting this piece of advice from his mother, her rationale being 'What if you are involved in an accident and you are wearing dirty underwear?'.
And then picture the scene of the cop informing the parents 'I am terribly sorry, but your son has been killed in a traffic accident - and by the way, his underwear was in a terrible state'.
