In fact, you should judge this book by its cover! In it a huge tree branch lies inside a huge glass vase, the vase on top of a small side table... Priceless! It is actually a preview of the "so chic" style you'll find inside it. Well, what could one expect when portrayed are strange people such as Donatella Versace, Mary McFadden, Amy Fine Collins and Sarah Jessica Parker--just to cite a few. The houses seemed to have been mostly decorated by people who want to look "different" and you find no parallel in real world. The top of the absurd I found in the description of Pieter Estersohn's "duplex penthouse." According to the book, he shares it "with Raul Baez and their son, Elio"... Excuse me? Their "son"? How can two men produce a son?! Anyway, poor Elio's room looks more like a Kafkian nightmare, a bad trip, a bad dream! And so does most of this book!

This is a very nice interior design book. If you like Elle Decor Magazine, you'll like this book. It's got some really nice ideas... good for inspiration.

I love this book. Perhaps because I am a more visual than text person..he he. Its inspirational. Not so much info or tips on decorating though, and less picture also.but in general, it is nice. :)

I own dozens and dozens of books on decor, flowers, weddings, entertaining, gardens, etc. I didn't get this one right away, but waited for awhile. I've seen many of the images on the zillions of decor blogs out there. But it doesn't compare to having the book, and holding it your hands. Great interiors, great photography, breezy easy text. This edition is a good addition for your collection of books to inspire you.
