 | Loerke (48) 01/20/2007 | Jon Stewart, who (whether you like him or not) has become The Voice of New York City, was running through potential GOP candidates on one show recently ("President McCain, President Guiliani, and so forth), and when he came to "President Pataki," just busted up laughing, unable to continue. Just try to say that yourself: "President Pataki." Can you do that without laughing?

 | Redoedo (40) 02/14/2006 | A bit too liberal to make it through the primaries, and though he is clearly in the running, I don't think his campaign will pick up much steam. While he has been a strong force in the governor's office since 1995, he really lacks the charisma to successfully campaign at the national level. When his final gubernatorial term expires in early 2007, I don't anticipate successful campaigns for higher office for Pataki. His career is essentially over.

 | Inmyopinion (10) 07/09/2005 | After having lived under his rule for WAY to long now as a resident of New York State, I wouldn't wish him on our worst enemy as a president.

 | Stephen C. Y. Pao (0) 06/05/2005 | I don't know how good about this guy for the Conservative U.S. President. I can rate this guy 3 from the 5 points. He is too soft to fight against the dynamic challenge. He is a tall handsome guy, a very welcomed gentle socializer, not a tough leader. If you don't mind he is stupid a little bit, You can put him up. He is having a problem to run for the fourth term of his New York Governorship, and Presidency from 2009. New York the Border State among the bunch of dangerous Liberals is into a siege now.

 | Bubblehead07747 (2) 06/04/2005 | For Stephen C.Y. Pao:
I don't usually like to critique others, and of course I'm leaving myself wide open for scrutiny, but your writing style is bordering on incoherent.
I thought maybe you were just having a bad day so i read some of your other posts and found the same long, drawn out claptrap.
I know somewhere in your thoughts lurks a modicum of intelligence, you just seem to have a problem expressing them in a coherent manner.
UPDATE: Apology for above diatribe.
I re-read some of your posts and English is clearly not your native language.
With that in mind, your obviously a pretty intelligent person who didn't deserve such harsh criticism.
I feel like the fool now for not seeing what should have been obvious.

 | abichara (62) 12/12/2004 | Pataki will definitely make a run in 2008, however, he has some significant handicaps, among them a liberal social agenda that doesn't play well with the Christian right and a fairly weak performance as Governor of New York, especially during his third term. Every person who has ever been Governor of that state has harbored Presidential ambitions because state government vests a lot of power in the executive, thus making him automatically a national figure. He does seem like a strong choice initially, but I don't think he has the political talent needed to pull a string of primary victories here. Also it looks like he may have a difficult time getting re-elected in 2006. Should he lose or even win by a small margin, consider his presidential aspirations gone.

 | donkeyguy (0) 11/19/2004 | Him and Frist are best candidates. Mcain too old and a loose cannon. Pataki is from blue state, hence, advantage Frist.

 | opinion585 (0) 11/10/2004 | he has screwed up my half of New York state in an attempt to make NYC perfect, i like NYC and the region around it but, COME ON, you are sucking the life out of Upstate NY!! What is he going to do for the country

 | EschewObfuscation (63) 11/10/2004 | Likely to run, unlikely to get any traction. Remember Joe Lieberman? Pataki is the strongest on paper candidate, weakest in reality. Possible VP nominee for anyone but Giuliani, in a vain effort to deliver New York's electoral votes.
