Every vehicle I've had that I used Chevron in, it has gotten better mpg's. There an additive called Motor Kote that it too will give better mpg's, even though they don't advertise it that way.
My1979 Ford 400 has always gotten 10 mpg, but, if I run Chevron oil and MotorKote, I get a consistent 13.5-14mpg. At $3.00 + a gallon of gasoline, it pays to use better oil and that additive.
I am not sold on the Bosch Plat. Plus 4 sparkplugs. I saw a zero difference in mpg. Chevron oil is the only oil I have ever saw a real instant change in MPG's. And it isn't something that takes several hundred mile to see it. It seems to do it in both diesel and gasoline engines - why? I am not sure of - I just know it works.
They say, oh, go to Synthetic it works so wonderful - sorry! I don't see it and have never seen it. But Chevron oil seems to make a see-able difference right away. Non-synthetic. I tried out Mobil One, what a joke! and waste of money!
