This is a song that far too many have to sing during the holidays, especially our men and women in the armed forces.  Spending Christmas with ones family and friends is what it's all about, and for those who must do this only in their dreams, it's a sad thought.  This is why our love and gratitude should go out to all our military men and women who can't be at home with their loved ones.

Dreary at best, some stores play this on extra-slow speed, why? Isn't it allready a slow a mopey song? Well, at best I guess it does specify "I'll Be Home for Christmas", those are some of the best years of our lives, while we were young, with the expectation of Santa coming, and the all the other images that go along with Christmas, baking, presents under the tree, yes, "I'll Be Home for Christmas".

A lovely song. Sentimental, and yearning for something everyone wants at this time of the year.

There have some holidays where I've been so homesick for my parents, that this carol has taken on special meaning to me. This holiday standard is timeless, elegant, heartfelt and touching.

I better be, or I'll miss all the fun of watching my nephews fight with wrapping paper, or eating it. :) And on a side thought, great song.
