I used to check this book out from the library periodically just to refresh myself, and finally realised I should just buy it! This is a great reference book if you're new or just interested in Buddhism and a great refresher if you're feeling stale and looking to get your faith and practice back on track. It's a must have.

This book thoroughly and meaningfully describes the human condition. Good for anyone seeking therapy, particularly the parts on the ten worlds. Many times we take therapeutic medicines without understanding the underlying root of the troubles in our lives. We need to understand why our life condition is low and what to do to improve it. This book has helped me understand how the world of Anger had run amok in my life. This is something no counselor could describe so vividly. I hope this book helps you!

The book is comprehensive, easy to follow, spans a wide spectrum of the Nichiren Daishonin beliefs. Richard Causton does an excellent job in writing for both East and West audiences. THe book is orderly, thought provoking, and a gift to read.

Richard Causton expertly explains the fundamental teachings and practice of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism. Causton considers the historical perspective and gives many modern examples so that anybody can apply Buddhism to daily life to overcome problems and reveal their full potential.

... I suppose, if you consider the above comment being written by one of the most cynical human beings on earth (me)! Seriously, now: we are mostly accustomed to just "talk" about religions and the various approaches to life, crossing our fingers and hoping for not being too much hurt during our allowed "timeslot" on earth. But this book seriously opens a new perspective for yourself and your dears, too. Certainly recommended for your own soul or for an intelligent friend that you know in trouble. Nothing is left to the chance in life and if you are reading this brief review, well... it only means you deserved it!...
