12/26/2004 | Critics slam-dunked it so bad, I didn't want to see it. But my wife deemed it mandatory family fun. Though I expected to snooze, Surprise!!! The movie was cute and entertaining. The special effects were stunning, although I must agree with the consensus that the facial features looked kind of rubbery and outright goofy. It kind of reminded me of the facial expressions I see with my son's Madden '04 PC Game. But that's trivial compared to the overall sweep of the movie, which is heartwarming and with a point to make. Though naysayers cited Polar Express as a flop based on its early box-office rake, it seems to have legs and consistently grosses $10-$15M each week. It has good potential to become one of those long-term holiday mainstays.

12/16/2004 | A cute movie. the plot is okay about a boy who is starting to doubt Santa Claus. A magical train pulls up on Christmas eve. and takes him on an adventure ride to the North pole where Santa is. we saw it at an IMax theater which is the way to go. it is in 3D and it is pretty neat to feel like you are in the movie. We liked the movie. it is a sweet. story although we would not have gone if it were not for seeing it at the Imax theater.

11/19/2004 | I think this is the best movie I have seen this year. It is technically brilliant (using new performance capture techniques) and beautiful visually. It has good action and comedy and provides a message, about courage and belief, that all, not just children can take to heart. Eventually, I think this will be a beloved Christmas movie and regarded as one of the best movies of the decade.

11/15/2004 | This was the best movie I've seen in a long time. Should definitely be a classic. My 5 yr. old didn't move through the entire movie. He was completely enthralled. Everyone should see this one. The animation is out of this world! Saw Incredibles & Shark Tale. This one blew them out of the water! It's a must see!
