Ha! Very Unlikely! As a Democrat, I'd like to see him run but I know he won't win the nomination. If he does, then the Democrats will be cheering. He hasn't done much as Senate Majority Leader or as a senator at all. And after the Terri Schiavo comments, the Gang of 14 incident, the John Bolton incident and his support for stem-cell research, I think most Republicans will reject him. Good luck Bill.

What has he done as Senate Majority leader? What has he done in the Senate? He is going to run, and there is a strong chance that he will win the nomination. If he does win the nomination look foward for Hillary Clinton as our 44th president.

Senators never win the presidency. Only Harding, Pierce (two of our worst) and JFK (his dad stole the election) have ever been elected from the Senate.

I think Sen Frist is content with his role as majority leader.

2 days ago, I asked God who will be best U.S. President after 2008? God told me, Bill Frist. Do you know why? Hillary Clinton is certainly going to win the Democrat Presidential Candidacy 2008. Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, Jeb Bush, Newt Gingrich, and Dick Cheney may get to lose to this political superwoman. Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, and Newt Gingrich had the bad record of the anti-Christian faiths. Jeb Bush and Dick Cheney are going to hurt the Republican electoral college and popular supports. If Hillary Clinton came up to talk about the leadership talent, politician charisma, principle and values, and ethics, she is going to win. Bill Frist, is the servant of God's savior. He is 3 times more valuable than Hillary Clinton. Bill Frist is the one of the most noticeable Ph.D. Harvard-grad medical doctor and the later professional political superstar, and Hillary Clinton is just the Master-Ph.D. Oxford-Yale grad. tricky lawyer with her husband Bill Clinton. Bill Frist is the Prebysterian the most Conservative Christian, and Hillary Clinton is the Baptist the most Liberal Christian. Bill Frist has no ethical problems and bad divorce record, and Hillary Clinton is too. Bill Frist has 3 sons into the Ivy Universities, and Hillary Clinton has only 1 daughter graduated from the Stanford University. Although the Democrats can use Mark Warner, Evan Bayh, Russ Feingold, and Howard Dean those kinds of the non-Clintonic Democrats to beat Bill Frist easily, but they are still the kinds of the untrained efficient hawks of the Democrats. So if the Democrats want to win the Presidential Election in 2008, they have to choose Hillary Clinton at least. If you put Bill Frist and George Pataki or Bill Frist and Bill Owen in the front, and Rudy Giuliani maintain a powerful effort behind for them against the Hillary, they won.

I am from Tennessee and this State is definitely in the Minor Leagues of politics. NO politician in this State is prepared enough or has the charisma, overpowering debating/speaking ability or photogenic qualities that it takes to win a presidential election. Bill is smart, no doubt, but he is just not savvy enough to win a nationwide election

I see him as the Republican version of Al Gore. Oddly enough, both men come from Tennessee. He tries to play nice with everyone but lacks the personality and charisma to be President.

Frist at this point seems to be the heir apparent to Bush. He's been positioning himself for a run and will probably do quite well, especially given his wide ranging contacts within the party. He has qualities that appeal to both the moderate and conservative wings of the party, like recent successful Republican presential nominees. A negative is that Frist is coming from the Senate as Majority Leader, meaning that, like Bob Dole, he's going to have significant baggage with regards to his legislative record. He does have to increase his national profile somewhat, even though he is a major leader within the Republican party, not too many people know him. Seems to operate underneath the radar many times too, thus he may have a difficult time getting attention if what may be a very crowded Republican field. If the Democrats nominate a good candidate and run a competent campaign, he could be beaten.

I think that Frist will be the Republican Nominee in 2008, he will have the backing of the President as well as the support of the Republican Right, which no candidate for the Republican Nomination can do without

Could be the alternative to Jeb. Right wing standard bearer in Senate. Strongest of potential candidates.

Little national appeal. Doesn't seem to understand mainstream America, nor the party base for that matter. Stay in the Senate.
