Might be a passionate fan base in Alabama- but the lack of market size dooms this idea/effort in embryo. . .

In my opinion, none of the places mentioned on this list are suitable for a football franchise, for one reason or another. I know that Los Angeles is looking to get a new football franchise. Some have suggested that the Jacksonville Jaguars should be relocated there because they're not that profitable in North Florida. Alabama might be an interesting spot for a football franchise considering how serious they take the game up there at the college level. But usually big city markets are better business, that's why if any city will be getting a team, its Los Angeles. As for the Cardinals, didn't they just finish building a new stadium? Why would they want to move then. The problem to me isn't the location as it is the quality of personnel that they recruit. Management stunk even before the franchise went to Arizona. Heck, they haven't won more than one playoff win since the Truman Administration, and that win only came in 1998.

The Cardinals would thrive in Alabama and Birmingham would be a good place to set up shop. Alabama has about 5,000,000 people and access to a lot more.

This is actually-joking aside- a viable option.
