Considering the other Beatles are in as solo artists, he should. Not just because of that, but he did have his share of hits. And he should be in also for his All Star Band performances as well. So come R&RHoF, do us a favor, open the door and let him in!"Peace and love, but no more fanmail!"

Not even close as a solo artist. Gets into HOF as a Beatle--or not at all, IMO...

a pretty fine drummer in his time

plenty of great solo moments

How many Drummers have had the Solo success Ringo has had? Phil Collins and Don Henley? And lets not say its because of the Beatles. If that were so..why hasnt Charlie Watts and Nick Mason forged successful Solo careers based on the success of the Stones and Pink Floyd? Ringo has had a very strong Solo career ...and his All Star Bands have had an influence on resurrecting careers. Ringo deserves consideration. By the way...his last Album may be one of his best....

Ringo's entire solo legacy consists of his various All-Starr Bands and his two top 5 singles. His credentials are well below Harrison's, who took 30 years to get in. No.

Ringo had some success as a solo artist, and as a member of The Beatles he should rightfully be there but I can't see him as Hall of Famer on his own merits.

It don't come easy.

Ringo definitely deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his great sound in The Beatles and also for his solo career. His name should have been put there many years ago. Being the drummer of the greatest band ever is really something! Other great artists should be there too, buy the way.

I can't believe this banger would even be considered as a solo act. But George Harrison got put in, so go figure.

I'm trying to analyze this mathematically. Let's say we had a 10 point scale where an artist gets 1 point for every good song (good defined by still receiving radio play today on some station) His "good" songs: 1971 It Don't Come Easy 1973 Photograph 1974 You're Sixteen 1975 No No Song So he gets 4 points on a 10 point scale - which equals 2 stars on this 5 star scale.

isn't he in already?...He should be in for that movie "Caveman" alone!
pinchecha 08/11/2005
He is the best. Nothing to say really, he's the best.

You must be joking. If this were Pete Best, we would probably be having the same misguided discussion.

Why has it taken so long? He should already be in there. Brooke Wynters-Asher

Please. While he was with the Beatles, yes. But not as a solo career.

Ringo is THE worlds finest drummer, true he dosen,t go in for fancy solos, which he can do , but he is rock solid and never misses a beat. When you look at the range of people he has played with He would need to be good .
Sajak16 03/03/2005
HAHA!!! Don't make me laugh. Ringo Starr was a talentless drummer, and his solo career was even worse. It was abominable. This piece of amphibian SHlT shouldn't even be on the list.
Skizero 01/13/2005
It Don't Come Easy was a good song, but let's put Ringo's solo career in some perspective here.
