Now, seriously?  Do people leave because they think other people lie???  I guess I am trying to wrap my little pea sized brain around the fact that people lie about their own opinions!  How is that possible???

Im sure there are people who lie on here, but some of the bigger problems seem to come from people who feel some are TOO truthful....which I thought was the whole point of the site.  You will get all kinds....

First off, I'm 14 feet tall and not really 5'4...get your facts straight...anyway, Franks Wild Years and I were- as usual- at our weekly Nation of Islam service berating honkies like we always do, when Louie Farrakhan kind of brushed aside Franks' remarks about how he thought The Toronto Blue Jays would do this year to say Oscar 74 X, when are you going to put up that Small Faces weblisting you've been promising me for a year now? I got to put down a fiver for "Lazy Sunday" "Louie I said, ( yeah we're on first name  basis ) I would, but Americans don't seem to even know about them...Yeah, said Louie, I guess I'll have to stick to the grizz and dog food...

Find it pointless to lie, but I don't think my life will fall to pieces finding out that so-and-so isn't really from ND or didn't attend that Kenny Chesney concert she raved about...

If this is a reason to the leave the site then you had better abandon the entire internet! You mean all these people who are concerned about my wife's happiness might not be telling the truth, the devil you say? ;)

it is for sure that some reviewers lie and make up stories. I do not have a good enough imagination to lie myself. i may avoid talking about certain subjects. you get lying all over the internet, so some may come on to lie here too.

There we were! I was on the lake in a small boat with a case of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale lodged securely in the well, when wham, out of no where, it seems, my rod bent almost double. I yelled at Irv Garcelon to shut off the trolling motor and rev up the motor. Whatever was on the end started pulling the boat. Irv threw her into reverse but, it didn't do anything. I yelled at Irv, Attach the first barrel! Irv did so and down went the barrel. He can't stay down long, not with a barrel attached! hollered Irv. Suddendly we felt this scraping on the keel of the boat, we looked and saw the fin break the water, and then....

I'm sure they do; I'd be surprised otherwise. I will say, though, in many other forums, I've caught more people in lies than I do here. Maybe because of the format (since RIA is technically not a forum; the other sites I refer to are typically set up as continuous threads rather than single posts per topic per user.)

It's a sure thing, definetely that people do lie on this site, a lot. But, sometimes it' just their way of getting attention.

If they are lieing, this is their problem and I will not give up this form of entertainment just because a few people decide to lie.

Lie? I'm an optimist. . .people don't lie as much as they are selective about information that affirms their sensibilities. The TV lies far more than this website, as far as I'm concerned.

People on the internet lie? Nooooooo.

I like to lie a lot. I do it all the time and I don't see a problem with it. I use white lies as well. Sometimes I say, I'm glad to hear from you. I really don't mean it. But it depends on what I think of the viewer and what he/she thinks of me.

Well, as far as a reason to leave RIA it's kinda silly because you'll have liars all over the internet and life in general, for that matter.

RIA is about opinions and I doubt that most people would say something they don't truly believe. What concerns me to some degree is that certain people (insert name of choice) might actually believe the things they're saying.

A lot do, that is for sure. I do not and will not knowingly.
