Recently, I uncovered an old book promoting this diet. I looked through it a few times before throwing it away. I thought it was a bunch of crock. While it was true that in the Garden of Eden Adam and Eve (and even all the animals) were vegan (and more than likely enjoyed good health while there), it is claimed that this kind of diet is the key to good health. The pages were filled with testimonials of various people who bought into the diet, bragging that their health was perfect (or near perfect) since they started, which is a bunch of baloney (pun intended!) since even the biggest health fanatics don't have perfect health. They also believe this diet is best since this is the way it was in the Garden of Eden, therefore, it is Biblical. It is Biblical, but what they aren't saying is that things changed over time and how God has okayed the eating of meat (provided it's clean) according to law, then a whole new covenant came along allowing for an even greater variety. I won't deny that this diet would work for some. However, I feel it is propaganda, made to sell a product. Of course, fresh fruits and vegetables are nutritious, but should be used as part of a balanced diet (along with meats, grains, and dairy), with everything in moderation. Combine that with an active lifestyle, and that's about the best diet one can find.

If i could give this a zero i would. If God had intended us to live primarly off of raw vegitables then he would have desined our bodys to be able to function with out the following: calcium, B-12, iron and protien to name a few. I was a vegitarian through the eighth grade and if it hadn't been for dairy products i would have lost about 75% of my hair (as opposed to about 35%) and a heck of a lot more muscle mass than i did. What ever if you've stopped growing, go ahead, but if there are any children in your life they need meats and dairy. Suppliments are not the same as the real deal.
