Don't get a PACT110-P. I purchased it in April. Didn't use it until June. It never cooled the room very much. When I tried to use the dehumidifying function it shut down and deisplay the "F1" error message. I took it to their authorized service center in long island....they don't have a service center in NYC.....wtf? It's been 17 days. No a/c. no answer on when I'm getting it back. I've recorded temps of 86-92 F in the room since the a/c has been gone....the coolest it ever got the room was 80 or so. BTW the room is a little smaller than 300sq ft....this a/c is supposed to be good for a room up to 450sq ft. Im very dissatisfied.

DON'T BUY ONE!!!! Parts take 3 months to get from overseas, if your approved service center does not have them. We went the whole summer waiting for our new portable air conditioner to get fixed.

I bought a Delonghi Airstream about 10 years ago. This thing works great and I havent used my regular oven since. Its made in Italy and I dont mind giving them my money. Beats the heck out of anything from china that breaks the day you buy it.

These People make a pretty good portable plug in heater unit, but as far as A/C units go I don't know really what to think of it, I guess I am just guessing they aren't all that good, I never knew they made an A/C unit and they don't seem like their products are really all that super high quality, for a portable heater unit they are good for anything more, I don't believe so..

I purchased a new DeLonghi Pinguino PAC 03 U portable air conditioner over a year ago. I have been very dissatisfied with it for a number of reasons: 1) Very low cooling power. Placing my hand right in front of the cool air vent feels only marginally cooler than the room temperature, and part of this must be the fan effect of air blowing over my hand. And this is when the compressor is operating. The compressor often shuts off, leaving the Pinguino nothing but a low powered fan. Also, quite a bit of heat is generated by the unit, and this is exhausted through a thin plastic hose. The body of the Pinguino and the hose quickly become hot to the touch and place heat back into the room. 2. And even when it is operating, the Pinguino has a FATAL FLAW. It blows the exhaust out the hose through the window. This means that new air has to enter your room from somewhere, and this is probably from outside or some other hot area, so there is very little if any actual cooling of the room. And if you are using the Pinguino with the idea of reducing the allergens in your room, this won't work because new allergens are constantly being brought in from outside. I would strongly urge that you do NOT purchase this item for general home use. Its high cost, and FATAL FLAW of constantly bringing in new air renders it a poor choice for cooling or allergen reduction.
