 | FedderHateR (0) 12/13/2004 | I have a comb AC/heater unit for a 3 months now and everything works but the heater. The repair man ordered the part to fix it and i took 1 month just to get here and that still did not fix the problem.
He had to take it for repair at his shop and now is when i really need a heater. Fedders NOT a wise choice.

 | kamylienne (80) 07/23/2003 | Alright, I've got two of the cheap, $100-model Fedders Air Conditioning Units (5200 btus, without the remote and timer), and though I didn't expect much, it was a better piece of equipment than I gave it credit for. I've only had both units for a month now, but I don't regret buying them. It's fairly energy-efficient (the Energyguide slip says it runs at a 9.7 efficiency, and that the yearly cost of operation is about $35. I haven't had it long enough to test that theory, but so far it seems to be doing pretty well). Installation is easy, and some models come with an electronic control panel, remote control (I kid you not), and a timer. Not bad for a hundred bucks.
