No matter what Haier product I bought, either cell phone or PC, the help I can get from their repair/support service is ZERO. I found that the company try to make it so difficult to reach their repair centre, so the customers will forget bothering them. This way the company cut cost on repair centre and able to keep the price low.

Oh Lord...although it did save my life in Brooklyn a couple summers ago, I had a Haier window A/C (can't remember the make and model now, but from what I know, that probably doesn't matter) and it was kind of a disappointment. First of all, if I understand correctly, they are all refurbished. I almost hesitate to believe that, but my experience possibly bears that out. My experience was... that we bought one and it didn't work at all. We took it back and exchanged it - no problem. Then that one didn't work. And by "didn't work" I mean it was unanble to produce even cool air and basically acted as a window fan without the breeze effect and the air in the room was even more suffocating than without it. After the third time (yes, there was a third failure) we were more than a bit sceptical. But we lived in Brooklyn in the summer of 2006 and it was just simply unbearable, although not unusually so for that area, so we tried again. We finally got a Haier unit (all were exchanges, we never got money back) that made things livable, but it wasn't anything to jump up and down about. I have a real medical problem that gets worse with heat and humidity and our final unit probably did save my life (I can not breathe at all in certain conditions) so I am giving them a 3. I would give them a 4 but I have friends who had different brands that were older models and had cooler air than we got from our "brand new" Haier. Or I would give them a 1, but I have no experience with window units other than this. I always had central air. I have a sneaking suspicion that window units are not that great.

Haier also makes good air conditioners. Although new in this field, the air conditioners produced are efficient. The cooling effect is great. But all the advantages are till when the air conditioner doesn't develops a fault. Once a fault is there, its hard to get it repaired. Thats why the air conditioners of Haier are not very popular.

It is the worst thing to buy any freezer or AC from Haier. They are always off work and sending loud noises. Moreover, the services are also bad. If you want a trash, pay for it at any time, and risk to accept the broken components after repairing, try Haier.

I really like my Haier HLP21E 6.6lb Pulsator Washer. For over a year it has been reliable and economical. Great for a single person because it does not waste alot of water like the big tub models do. The agitator free design gives an obstruction free tub. At max it can hold one pair of my coveralls and does a good job of washing them.
(or a couple of big bath towels)
At the lowest water level it is good for just my socks or shorts since it just uses a few gallons of water to wash them.
Overall, its a "10" for my use.
